Bloss, if you say you live in Rimini then its 3 half hours from Milan?? its not rocket science . I do have Italian connections , my great grandfather arrived here in Liverpool, he was skilled Mosaic and Terrazzo worker . It is impossible to walk through Liverpool without seeing some of the skills and crafts these people had. During the 1870/1880’s many Italian families left their homeland to seek work and stable futures for their children. Most settled in the north of Liverpool which became known as Little Italy. Liverpool had a large port and many arrived here on ships and paid for a passage to America, the poorer ones stayed and settled in Liverpool My Great grandfather was one of them. Christian street, Gerard street, Hunter street, Circus street, Lionel street, Grosvenor street , this was Liverpool’s Little Italy. Home to not all, but the majority of Italian’s who chose to settle within the city. In this area where many irish people so many Italian/Irish marriages took place, my great gran being one of them. ……Prisencolinensinainciusol was actually a hit in the UK and played in many night clubs, my uncle was a club DJ in the mid 70s would often play it. Same as my father loved listening to Mario Lanza .
Sophia, I didn’t say I lived in Rimini. Rimini was mentioned as Pixie asked me if there was a place in Italy that could be compared to Magaluf, and I replied ‘Rimini’, only place I could think of that could be compared, but in reality rather different.
Adriano Celentano lives near Galbiate (in Brianza near the lakes), which is about 60 kms from Milan.
