Great stuff from young Murray at the Indian Well’s Masters Series sweeping aside World Number 4 Nikolay Davydenko 7-6, 6-4.
Murray has grown 2 inches. He’s also added muscle, bulk, stamina and a half decent haircut.
I think he’s got a great chance to reach the later rounds at Wimbeldon this year, if not actually win it.17 March, 2007 at 9:11 am #264792@Bad Manners wrote:

17 March, 2007 at 9:49 am #264793He is not!
The smarmy English Interviewer asked him how far Scotland were gonna go in The World Cup Final’s last year even though we hadnt qualified.
Clearly it was a question intented to rile the Patriotic Scot. His reply was totally justified. :D17 March, 2007 at 9:54 am #264794Tommy Haas the World Number 8 or thereabouts has also fallen to the Mighty Young Scot who stormed back from a set down, and an ankle injury to register a magnificent 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 triumph. :D
17 March, 2007 at 11:28 pm #264795I reckon he could do wimbledon this year. If not, definately next year. Im enjoying listening to his progress in the run up, but equally gritting my teeth that he stays injury free! 8)
26 March, 2007 at 12:13 am #264796He’s doing well in the Sony Erricson Open too. He’s now in the 4th round. He has the best consistency out of everyone in the ATP tour this year as the seeded players are struggling against unseeded players, while Murray, the 19 year old, is beating seeded players and unseeded players, and has been doing so since the start of 2007. He is at a high of 12th in the world rankings so far, and will not slip down the rankings as his win today has notched him enough points to stay 12th for the next 3 months, I think, so the only way is up for him, and it’s very tight from 12th to 5th. Anyway, I hope he wins tomorrow, so he gets more points to further his points tally and his ranking status.
1 April, 2007 at 7:07 pm #264797He got his ar/se well and truly kicked in that Semi. He’s still learning though.
2 April, 2007 at 12:27 am #264798He’s just a foreign c*nt.

Did you watch the Davis cup againest the Dutch…. young Murrays brother Jamie pairing up with retired Candian/British Rudeski ( that spelt rite) pity he doesnt have more skill in forehand etc he’d be playing single tennis…. but he’s sticking with doubles… his first Davis Cup outing and won in a superb game…. and they were’nt playing againest a poor Dutch team…
I putting a we wager on the French Open, Stella Atrois Cup and Wimbledon worth a wee flutter, remember he’s only what 22…. if that yet… I think compared to Henman we’ve maybe got a glimmer of hope Murray could win wimbledon one day…. he’s strong enough and good enough…
plus I think it helps he’s has plenty of National Pride behind him eh…. even if that Mainly Scottish heavy handed lol
