They pose a disease risk to your animals as they can carry mange and rabies, and red foxes can get mange. They will also tear open plastic rubbish sacks and create a large mess – they really are vermin.
That’s nothing compared to the people you will sit next to on public transport.
Lol. Good one!

Funny how humans think the answer to alleged threats posed by animals is just to slaughter them.
That does not solve any perceived problems. Look for a solution such as vaccination and better agricultural practices.
If there was a way of doing that panda I would be for it 100% …..problem is all the plans that have been put forward just dont stack up as a working alternative… as well as being very expensive.
The vaccination of badgers is turning out to be a viable and affordable option. Research is still be carried out but so far it is looking promising.
Research has also suggested the culling of badgers actually makes the problem worse as the badgers roam to neighbouring areas.
It is very sad that people like you can’t look at new, innovative and kinder ways to treat wildlife than to just slaughter them.
I won’t comment on your sister in law.
25 June, 2012 at 5:19 pm #499762Well everyone is different Panda…. just because people do not agree with your point of view or do things your way does not mean they are bad people.

I didn’t actually say those who don’t think the same as me or do things my way are bad, did I?
I said it’s sad that people like you who are pro slaughter cannot consider other, more ethical solutions.

Actually it sad that people like you (whatever that means) do not actually read what I said.
25 June, 2012 at 5:48 pm #499765This is a part of humanity that i dislike, the superiority complex we have over other animals. What makes a human life more valuable than a badger or foxes life?

I have already said if there is a viable alternative to culling I would be in favour of it wake…. let me ask you this though, I dont know if you have children but how would you feel if one of your kids contracted TB and possibly died when contracting it could easily be prevented? if there is a viable alternative bring it on…. to date none have been accepted as viable.
As panda says research is still going on and if that works out… great….. go for it…. but lets be realistic that could be years to finalise…. the problem is now.

I couldn’t agree with you more. It’s a twisted mentality where the first impulsion is to kill. The human race apparently has evolved to becoming intellectually and morally superior to animals.
Like fook we have!
