This is one of the posters that is officially endorsed by the protest movement, interesting choice given my opening statement:
22 January, 2017 at 7:27 pm #1020293Hmm interesting. Yeah that’s kind of weird of her actually. I feel like the republican party can definitely use that kind of cheerful, fun energy of also pointing out bizarre statements by the organizer. None of the conservative media on social media has said anything about it. I feel like it’s a good idea to publicize it for many reasons.
In regards to the other political message about the view that Muslims shouldn’t be allowed to immigrate here for a while, I feel like one way is that it makes a global statement that Islamic countries don’t allow other religions and for the first time that is hinted at being slightly reciprocated in a different way. Honestly though, I dont think they’d think that it’s reciprocation- maybe they’ll feel like that’s how USA always felt about that particular sect of people. But yeah ego is a difficult thing to deal with when it prevents people from changing rules or attitudes in light of new information. I feel like Trump’s comment about about sexuality kind of makes it seem like he doesn’t like people who’s morals are slightly different- comparatively prioritizing cleverness over being nice/moral, and dancing around sexuality since childhood rather than actually doing or saying something. Which is ironic because through action, he is actually married to someone who might have different morals than himself and their children seem to have different values than him as well. I remember back when he was talking about the birth certificate issue and how he is Republican, his children were embarrassed by it and asked him to not talk about that. And I think that’s why he talks kind of openly about women because his actions show that he loves women. I feel like that’s what he tries to get across- that he and people in general should be trusted more, and people should be optimistic about other people’s sentiments.

They don’t want to be called ‘racist’ or ‘islamophobic’, which would inevitably happen if they drew attention to Linda Sarsour’s personal beliefs. I think my favourite quote I have found from her is that ‘muslim children are executed [in the US]’. I had never heard of her until I looked into the protests, and i’m not sure how she as aquired enough power to mobilise so many people.

Saudi Arabia’s claim that ‘all atheists are terrorists’ comes to mind.

Trump is pretty terrible at saying things that have a clear interpretation, which leaves him open to people getting into this kind of hysteria over minor comments. His inaugural speach was much better, but I don’t think he wrote that. Even then a lot of media outlets are trying to frame his use of the phrase ‘America first’ as proof that he is secretly a nazi .

22 January, 2017 at 8:26 pm #1020305wannabe, you have a style all of your own. I’ve given up reading you, sorry.
drac, so all those hundreds of thousands of people were out protesting just because someone you claim is a Muslim fundamentalist told them to? Impressive.
I have a feeling that with Chump being inaugurated at the lowest opinion poll ratings for a new president in American history, these protests are not going to be helping him, but he should bring out the jihadi nature of the protest (sic) and that could turn the tables.
22 January, 2017 at 8:28 pm #1020306Who cares what the liberal political class whine about now, both in the USA and here in the UK. I million woman were not marching in the USA when local economies went down the pan and millions of blue collar workers lost both their jobs and homes. 1 million liberals were not marching when austerity was aimed at the poorest and most vulnerable here in the UK over the last 7 years. Then they, the liberal political class, sit there now scratching their head in bewilderment and lashing out aggressively at “thick” Trump supporters and “thick” Brexiters. The “progressives” and their exclusive monetary policies that favoured their class, at the expense of everyone else…

They are what the KGB refered to as ‘useful idiots’.
22 January, 2017 at 8:35 pm #1020310Draculina would spot a solitary face wearing a burka at a London premiership match and claim Muslims were plotting to impose sharia law in London.

22 January, 2017 at 8:38 pm #1020312I’ve never actually seen someone wearing a burqa.
This is what a burqa looks like, for reference:
Which is different from a nicab:
Or a hijab:
22 January, 2017 at 8:44 pm #1020315Apparently a single Muslim, who allegedly supports sharia law, spotted in a crowd of 1 million women, is unmitigated evidence that the tiny Muslim population in America now want to impose sharia law.
Even by Justchat standards that is hilariously surreal. (paranoid)

22 January, 2017 at 8:47 pm #1020316Yes, because that’s what I said SHR
The organiser of the protest is the same as being a random person in it, clearly.
You don’t even seem to know what the difference between a burqa and a hijab is, lol.
