…will probably be watching the tennis on tv. Not me.
How disappointing it is for us non-Tennis people to realise that the centre court now has a roof to stop the rain calling the game off.

It does stop play though terry…. if they put the roof over it they still have to wait for about 20 minutes for the air to normalise….. dont ask… I have no idea what it means either… sigh

    Teapot:

“Grass is much more delicate than human beings. We can take off our coats or jumpers to cool down. Grass can’t, so if we just put the roof over, it would sweat and turn the court into a skating ring. The air conditioning we put in at Wimbledon is all about the grass, not the crowds.”

So that’s why the delay. Makes sense I suppose. You can’t have tennis on ice. :D
