Been thinking hard about the top 5 most iconic songs i would have on a list from the eighties…..came up with these classics……not just for the song but the video as well and how much it was a defining point in the era…..

    1 Don’t You Want me?-The Human League

    2 Vienna – Ultravox

3 Karma Chameleon – Culture Club

    4 Small-town Boy – Bronski Beat

5 Total Eclipse of the Heart – Bonnie Tyler

View to a kill – Duran Duran has to be in there Mister Q. Does it have to be top 5 or can it be top 10 or even 20? Thinking I should be so good for you – Dennis Waterman as link to Minder, one of the most iconic tv progs of the 80s at the time……

    Iconic 80’s

You simply must have something from Michael Jackson, probably Thriller, and Madonna, probably Like A Virgin.

    Ge

I would have thought Frankie Goes To Hollywood and ‘Relax’ is an 80s icon in the UK, it pushed gay culture into the mainstream and became quite rightly a gay anthem and a positive image in an era where the shadow of HIV cursed and blighted countless innocent lives.

Hey…you all have great vision….. my top 5 was only in my opinion….Aha…Take on me..what a spine chilling song and video……brilliantly thought out and to be honest, could have easily been in my top five.

True Morgan….Michael Jackson and Madonna…now if i picked the top iconic tunes from them from the eighties it would have to be…….Beat it from MJ and get Into the Groove from Madonna…….

And as for Duran Duran…yes…A view to a kill was a classic iconic track from Le Bon and the boys although…it was John Taylor and Nick Rhodes who formed the band and you can see Nick Rhodes photography in mostly every thing Duran Duran did….

I must admit that Bond was never the same after Duran Duran and Aha left their mark on the franchise.

The Living daylights has to be one of my all time Bond themes…..funny how years later..Bond go’s back to Scandanavia in Spectre to tie all the Blofeld thing together and fails miserably in my opinion.

I liked the way Blofeld always stroked his cat…….even madmen need to relax LMAO

LOL@ Dennis Waterman……yeah he was cool…even sung the theme to New Tricks….
