Only thing i want to add to this thread as i do see it as an important opinion, PB can u answer me one thing???
y bother having users on a *boot on site* when clearly there are several guides (and i have plenty of witnesses to back me up on this) who dont boot them??? they sit there and do nothing, they will even leave the room while abuse is going on???
At the end of the day tony doesnt have the guts to abuse anyone to thier face do u *let’s hide behind the sofa* montana????
If some the guides did their job properly then a lot of the abuse would not go on!!!

I was in forum one today and tit mongtana was in ages with off duty guides joining his banter. I’ve seen him go unbooted many a time when guides have been on shift too – guess they must be his mates :shock:
Guides at the end of the day are chatters like you and me, there is only so much they can do to prevent this kind of thing happening. I wouldn’t say a persons main reason for applying to be a chatguide is *to sit back and watch the eejits have fun* which is what seems to be being suggested between the lines on some of the posts i have read. We as users of JC can’t expect them to be on constant watch for undesirables. Give them a break and USE the deterants you have been supplied with. ie the IGNORE function.
I have dealt with Angel’s post in PM as I really don’t want to go over this stuff on the public boards. However her points WILL be dealt with !!!
Dolflip’s post seems to me to be pretty fair. Some of the ChatGuides are known to you in their user names (and I guess some aren’t).
If one of them is in a chatroom in their private capacity (NOT signed in as a Staff member) it is unreasonable to expect them to keep on changing when they are not ”on duty”. Remember we do not claim to moderate the site 24/7 and users do have an ignore facility to use if the occasion arises.
All the Guides are volunteers and freely give up their time to assist users and to try and keep the chatrooms safe. As a team we all do our best for the site users. Occasionally somebody will be unhappy – but I guess you can’t win ’em all.
PB…….. the tony montana… wasnt he associated with Dingo… aka Offencegirl… another charmin person… not. if memory serves me well…
i think a few people should re-read PB’s word and then re-read them yet again… try and get it to sink into your heads what is bein said…. as with the responsed to his postings… i see its not sinkin in YET… PB u must be frustrated 24/7 lol
use your IGNORE button… its what its for…! if half the people who did all the moanin n groanin at what this one did… and that one did…. used the ignore button it wouldnt happen the ar5ewipes soon tire when they don’t have a captive audience…. half of u fuel the fire of these sad gits…

All i know is he threatened my children and scared my 6 year old half to death. I wanted to smack him in i can tell you. He also said he wanted to rape my neices 1 and 3 years (Beckys Kids) i must admit i lost my temper, but hes a sad low life who needs to get laid.
Firstly she is 6 so how the f u c k did she read them? Secondly, it was because at the time it all made sense and fitted with Subs therefore i rang him and gave him some s h i t , but mainly as Becky was having the same problem she heard us talking. And before you get on your soapbox, she wasnt even in the room when this happened but clearly proves that kids have amazing hearing.
As for the police been involved, they arent interested as there wasnt any real proof other than some internet t w a t sounding off. Becky did request JC sought out the IP and ban the b a s t a r d but as usual she didnt even get a reply back.A lot of children can read quite well by the age of 6. What are you trying to say here?
Yes 6 years olds can read basic words (and if we are splitting heirs she was 5 at the time :roll: ) But words such as ‘rape’ and ‘make fun of’ and smashing your f u c k i n g head in’ dont feature in many Biff and Chip books in the national ciric if you get me. And all this happened in the evening anyway when my children would be sleeping.
Now you have expected me to explain my parenting, not that it has a lot to do with you. I can also mention that certain individuals are good at interogation and may i say those in glass houses :-kSorry, TADpole I was only pointing out that many 6 year olds are quite good readers and the difference between 5 and 6 is huge in terms of schooling, so I was not ‘splitting heirs’ (hairs?) as you so succintly put :roll: If she/he overheard then that is a different matter.
It seems you have had a bad experience and I hope you and your family are ok. He is obviously in need of therapy. Good luck with the baby.
I really wish the message would sink in Mary and yes we do get frustrated when we see the same old mistakes being made over and over again.
Certain users are not welcome to chat in the chatrooms because of totally unacceptable conduct and yet they receive support from a few users who tell everybody that so and so ”is alright” or ”doesn’t mean any harm” or is ”just having a bit of fun” and so on.
Clearly they have really short memories or don’t want to believe their ‘friends’ tell of being attacked or having their children threatened with sexual assault and so on.
Sometimes (female) users will even tip these abusers off in MSN whether a ChatGuide is in the Forum or not so that they can come in and ”enjoy themselves”. Why on earth would anybody do such a thing???? Surely they must realise the damage that is done by the abusive users???

I have just read my way through this thread.
The internet is a big and scary phenomenon. I was criticised for being too wary of giving out personal information when i first started using JC, but i think i was right to be wary.
It is sad to think we have to TRUST NO-ONE!!! but it is true.
I have heard what some people have done to others in JC, and i don’t just mean what men may do to women, but what women who purport to be friends have done to other women. There seems to be a lot of pain and hurt about, and i never fail to be astonished by what human beings can do to each other.
PB is right…. be very very careful about giving you personal information, even to other women who you consider to be friends. It takes a long time to be really sure that you know somone to be a true and honest friend. I am lucky in that i have a number of very close friends that I have met through JC, and I trust that small group of people implicitly. But friendships take time to develop, and many fall by the wayside.
Be safe everyone….. and remember….. TRUST NO ONE
