    Hi everyone

    As many of you have noticed, we have recently made the decision to moderate the message boards far more robustly than we have done in the past. This was done because the levels of abuse being hurled around by the minority was adversely affecting the majority.

    Our patience has finally run out. We have given abusive users a lot of leeway, and on reflection recognise that this was a mistake. We tried to allow users the benefit of the doubt on many occasions, and even established a ‘Spit The Dummy’ forum for those that just couldn’t help throwing childish remarks and accusations around.

    Abuse, sniping, snide remarks etc stop now. People were unable to use the STD forum for its intended purpose so it has been removed. No abuse of any kind will be accepted on the Just Chat message boards from this moment onwards.

    Our site rules are extremely simple and very clear. They are:

    Sexual or offensive language or content.

    Harassment of other users.

    Inflammatory or defamatory comments, flaming or taunting.

    Abuse or disruption of our services.

    The impersonation of Just Chat staff.

    Public questioning or criticism of Just Chat policies, staff or moderator actions. If you wish to complain or comment about our policies or a staff member, please use the contact form.

    Copyrighted materials (articles, videos, audio, etc.) that you do not have permission to reproduce or distribute.

    Advertising of third party services or websites, unless authorised by us in advance and in writing.

    Posts that break the site rules will be deleted. If your post is deleted you will receive a warning via private message. If you continue to break the site rules, your account will be deleted.

    There will be no favouritism and no special privileges for anyone. You have made 10,000 posts? It doesn’t matter – you are still not allowed to break the site rules.

    Additionally, from this moment on, posts that question moderator actions on the message boards will also be considered a breach of the site rules. If you have a problem with a moderator action, then contact me and me alone. You can do this either via a PM or through the ‘Contact’ link in the footer of each page of the site.

    This thread will be locked – no member comments will add value to this statement. If you wish to criticise it, or have any comments or suggestions then contact ME. Not ForumHostPB, not another Chat Guide but me and me alone. Our staff are here to help members and make this site as pleasant an experience for its members as possible. They are not here to accept or have abuse directed at them.

    If you want to rant, complain, argue or even (heaven forbid) send some positive feedback or site suggestions, then contact me. You may have noticed that the Site Comments & Suggestions Forum has been removed – this was because that forum was a popular haven for offensive posts and criticism of our staff and their actions. If you have any comments or suggestions, I still want to hear them – just contact me directly.

    Similarly, if you need any help with how to use the site or are noticing something not working as you think it should, contact me.

    I hope we can move forward from this point onwards. Forget the behaviour of individuals in the past. Forget even your own behaviour of the past. Let’s all get along and focus on developing a positive community.
