Ok so its not a computer related problem though I think it may have arisen from the net.
My kids go on these stupid gaming sites, one of them is called Habbo. You can buy credits/coins to barter with people etc. A while back they gave me the cash and I let them use my phone to buy credits for the games. Since then the past two months I have gone into my msg out box and there are msgs sent from my phone for credits, but none of the kids did it and neither do they have any credits on their games.
Ive rang my mobile company who dont want to know, which is fine, I dont know why I expected them to help really.
Ive checked the kids accounts and they are being honest. The msgs were all sent (3) to Habbousa to one of those 5 digit numbers (different on each msg) at 6am on Monday.
What normally happens is you get a msg back with a code in to put on the Habbo site to get the credits, but Ive not had those, so some hacker has (I think) got my number to send the msgs and uses their own number to receive them?
Ive got a new phone being delivered tomorrow, but dont want to change my number but Im thinking that may be the only way to deal with it.
Any ideas anybody? Has anyone else had anything similar happen to them?

Not sure about what it is exactly your kids have signed up other than credits within the Habbo, Try signing up for more credits, without actually completing the final stages. This will at least give you chance to read the terms and conditions, i remember people when they was signing up for crazy frog on there phones not realising they was signing upto a package which you had to cancel or they would keep taking money from you.

9 January, 2008 at 10:25 pm #302847Dont you have to Text the word ” STOP ” to a 5 digit number or they keep taking money from your phone .
9 January, 2008 at 10:38 pm #302848Well that is what I thought first of all Ugo, but I cannot find anything on the site that states there is a running account system. Someone has my number and is taking the piss. They have a parents email system, but its gonna take two days to receive a response. Its cost me about 16 quid in total now on top of my normal bill.
I think the only option is a number change which is total hassle
9 January, 2008 at 10:43 pm #302849just ask the phone company to block the number that its texting
9 January, 2008 at 10:56 pm #302850I could try that. There are a few different numbers. I suppose I could get a block on any 6 digit numbers… I never use them so it wouldnt bother me. Cheers will give that a bash.

just google “free sims” and im sure Sharon can find plenty of free ones without giving any personal details to Claude Greengrass wannabe!10 January, 2008 at 6:11 pm #302853If you know someone with o2 and they recommend you, you can get a free sim card. but if your mobile company dont want to help you then tell them to cut it off and shove it up their ar5e, there are loads of other companys. might be worth going into the mobile shop orange, o2 ect
