lol if I PUT NITS U WOULDNT BE READING THIS…. lol
u all scratchin ur heids now lol.. well every mother knows aboot the dreaded NITS… last thrus my lass was sitting and scratchin and I thought ‘ OOOOO NOOO ‘ everyday she goes to school with her hair tied tighly into pleats..!! and I know its tight as she greets when i brush and put them in… plus if she greets i wack her with the brush to stop fidgeting lol… moaning im hurting her ‘ and now my response are like what my Mother did with me ‘ I’ll gee ya something to greet aboot..’ lol ‘ We’ll get you hair cut short then save all thsi hassel’ lol i check her 3 times awk when washing her hair…. anyways… i got the light on undid her hair checkin thru and there was 3 big booggers///!!! so i was like rite we need to treat your heid… so next i had to go up with the torch and check my laddies hair whilest sleepin… he looked fine, but re-checked his heid in mornin and he was ok…. I checked me mams’ she was clear, and I got my mam, my 2 best pals, my aunt, my brothers’ wife… plus when I went to get more stuff for Nitty Nora re-treatment awk l8ter, i said to the chemist would he check my hair, and should i put a treatment on US ALL…. he said NO, as if you don’t have any signs don’t use the treatment as thats when your hair becomes immune….
what I like to know is how the wee Nitty Booggers managed to get into her heid..!!! but now im sitting typin this im certain ive got them…!!! lol
But when I was asking the other mothers and yes telling them whom my daughter has been in contact, 3 of her pals mum said, ‘Yeah we had them last wk’ I was like ‘ well why didnt you say ‘…. there reply was ‘ Oh we didnt want folks talkin ‘ i said Id rather have sods talkin aboot me than scratchin me heid to death as I think ive got the wee f oo kers ‘ which ive been told i havent but i so tempted just to treat my hair…!!!
When I was at school, i mind we all had to line up for the Nit Nurse….
So please if your kids get Nits tell other mothers..!! Im proud to say… YES MY LASS HAD NITS and I coped lol
Your right Mary, people are under the mis conception nits = dirty, this is far from the truth as nits dont like dirty hair because they have trouble gripping on greasy hair strands and the eggs dont stick in dirty hair as well as they do clean, so i agree proudly announce your nitty hair to all lol, plus the sooner people know the sooner it can be kept under control.

my youngest son hasn’t ever had them but my eldest always had them, he had long hair you see….
Anyhow best way to keep the critters away is wash hair with tea tree shampoo then condition hair and leave it in, if you platt the kids hair it wont look bad, if on the other hand you don’t like that idea buy the leave in conditioner.

yeah both mine had them,,daughter worse with long hair. in fact the whole family got them ! so off i went to the chemist,kinda cringing like . bought 2 bottles of the stuff and treated the kids,and my man,wasnt much left over,so i suggested i used a hair dye on my hair.assuming the bleach would kill them. My man said,” well it either kill them,or they will all be looking like Billy Idol “.. it worked.
2 weeks later i was back to the chemist…an epidemic it was,we were getting letters home from school * entire classes not just me* we always suspected one gadgie never used to bother.!
