Well my boxing days were over at nineteen red. But when growing up me Dad had all the Rings, Boxing News’s, loadsa books + other magazines long gone now.

I’m named after a fighter as it happens.

So yeah I know about ya uncle Mick, Jackie Turpin, Wally Swift all them old boys…..
more to the point I’m in touch with peeps who know far more than me and the name of Mick Leahy will be very familiar to them.

Wally Swift and my uncle had a few fights lol If I have it right they won 1 each and drew won..Its difficult to get the family to talk much about it all at the moment….but i understand why
But i think its memories that are shared that keep a person living
