27 June, 2009 at 6:20 pm #399971The death of anyone is a tragedy and a heartbreak to someone, and whether we believed or didn’t believe the allegations made against this man what we do have to remember is he is someone son, brother and father and his music has brought millions of people happiness.
RIP Michael, to have lived just one day in your shoes for me would have been a day too many. I hope you find the love and sanctuary you so longed for.

The comments made by some
people in this thread are derived
from pure ignorance and as such
will be treated by the majority with
the contempt they deserve.
The comments made by some
are truly touching and show
compassion , understanding and
above all humanity something
Michael Jackson had to learn ,
embrace and learnt to cherish.Any loss of life is sad , and to mock
and ridicule after a passing away is
at the least sad and ignorant and at the
worst shallow.Of a celebrity in any form the media
builds up to knock down , throws lavish
praise upon in order to dig up dirt and
befriend’s so as to be able to tarnish. As no-one knew Michael Jackson it may be
more apt to sympathise rather than belittle
and if any truth can be known , it’s more likely
to come from the people who did know him. With that in mind listen to facts and read the truth.
He was quite simply a boy who never grew up ,
never experienced a loving childhood and subsequently
looked for his loss of growing up and terrible early life
in his outlook on life , to give and share with any one and
everyone . Sadly some people took advantage of his
generousity and tried to gain financially from it , namely the
parents of children he befriended and gave happiness to , something
those same youngsters had lacked in their home life too. Those people are basically scum and are the guilty parties.
Mr. Jackson gave time , effort and countless funds to many
charities and gave many others entertainment the like of
which was un-beknown prior to his talent .He was hounded by many people and let down by most ,
was even turned upon by family members , that maybe
envy or jealousy possibly both , thats the saddest of all .Bless you micheal , i grew up with your music and like most
i wont forget it .Your truly in a better place as sad as it is to say, and i hope
you finally find the love and peace you desreve. One of my favourite songs , hard to choose so many ,
28 June, 2009 at 6:52 am #399975and if any truth can be known , it’s more likely
to come from the people who did know him.like his family, like his sister who accused him of shall we say less than respectable relationships with children, or the jury who thought the same though there wasnt enough direct evidence to give a guilty verdict
How many referred to him as Wacko Jacko who now wail and gnash at the loss of such a talented innocent, including the media.
The man was talented but he wasnt normal either though of course that was everyone elses fault wasnt it?
I’m not denying his talent but he wasnt a saint, and neither do i believe he was entirely innocent though i dont believe he should neccesarily be reviled either I dont think his acts were cold and calculating as such
No doubt the people who didnt give him a second thought will go out and buy his albums now and make some producer very rich indeed28 June, 2009 at 7:52 am #399976I have to agree with the underlying point in Pete’s above post. Fact is that during Jackson’s latter years he was derided by the general public, not only in his own country, but across the world.
His ludicrous denial of having had and facial surgery, despite the ever increasingly bizarre ‘look’ of his face. His journey from an ‘Afro-Caribbean’ look to something that was almost female in the delicacy of his sculpted features has been documented in millions of photos and made him the subject of much derision.
The several incidents of alleged kiddy fiddling; his admission on worldwide TV that sharing his bed with several young boys was an act of pure love and not at all sexual; the enormous payments made to those that pursued complaints against him for his alleged unsavoury sexual practices; all these things are there in the public record for the whole world to see.
The current spate of allegations that he was addicted to ‘prescription drugs’ (pethidine amongst others) doesn’t come as much of a surprise to many.
Yes he was a good all round entertainer in his day, although by all accounts he went ‘off the boil’ several years ago. Indeed serious doubts have been expressed that he would fail to honour his final O2 series of concerts in spite of having been paid an enormous advance.
So by all means praise his music, assuming that you really liked it, but let’s not lose sight of the deeply troubled and flawed person behind it and make him into some sort of icon for our times – like for example Princess Diana.

Pretty fair i’d say
28 June, 2009 at 12:17 pm #399978Well said Mellow!!
I am not impervious to some thing MJ may have done that seems wrong, i don’t think he is some angel that can do no wrong.
But i do feel that not only was he a troubled soul, a childlike look on life, even childlike actions for example the balcony incident, its exactly the thing a child would do, not forsee the consequences of their actions.
He did have severe psychological issues from his constant abuse from his father, but don’t you think we villify what we don’t understand ?
A grown man sleeping in a bed with kids ? At face value what exactly is the harm in that, how often have parents shared a bed with their children, how often has your child had afriend stay over and they both get into your bed of a morning ?
This only becomes unacceptable when there are thoughts beyond an innocence are bought into it.
We plant these things into peoples heads that its wrong, why is it so wrong, if it is what it is and no more.
It actually troubles me that people even think along these lines and yes im not stupid i know there are bad people out there, pedophiles etc but i pray to god that is the minority and not the majority of people, and i’m quite sure that is so.
having a child with autism myself i have seen many children and indeed adults that grow up and dont develop as they should emotionally, they can do things that are seen as inappropriate, it doesnt make them evil, how damaged was this poor man by what he endured through a childhood he never really had, we just don’t know, no one does, and as for believing every word the media says, when did we all fall into that gullible trap.
Anyway at the end of the day the man has lost his life whether that be through his own fault is immaterial, we shouldnt be jumping up and down on his yet to be found grave site its disrespectful to those that do actually care for him. A death is always a tragedy to someone even the most nasty and evil people had parents and children that possibly loved them and is a tragedy to them.
i hope his kids never read stuff the papers say abt him thats for sure :(28 June, 2009 at 1:01 pm #399979If you read the article there’s doubt his last two are even his. It’s the media hype thats the main culprit to be honest.. hells bells there wasnt this much fuss when Mother Teresa went
The article seems pretty fair to me.. the bit about the balcony was way overblown.. he wasnt gonna let go.. wasnt gonna slip.. ffs we throw our kids up in the air and catch them (the headcovering was a bit weird like)
Dont think anyone has denied his talent it’s the “Oh God he was such a saint” reaction sticks in my craw… remember the music -
