With an alcohol problem, and fancy any policeman getting a bit tetchy and baton happy when he’s been faced by the idiot protestors who always join these protests with the sole intention of causing hassle.
I mean we should ban all police and protection forces and let the terrorists run wild. Methinks you been on your pipe way too much to use that as an excuse for damning policeLets attack all innocent people with a drink and drug problem with batons …who inadvertently stray in the way on a public street while people exert their right to protest against the capitalist monsters….these terrorists have got people like you just where they want you…….squabbling and groaning, meanwhile the plotting goes on…
Leaving aside the above little ‘spat’ – it always sees totally unfair to me that the “human rights” of terrorist murderers (and ‘wannabe’ murderers) MUST be respected ….. but nobody gives a stuff about the “human rights” of the many victims of their murderous acts.
Secondly, I’d much rather place my trust in the security services and rely on them to protect my family and friends, than on a bunch of terrorist fanatics being ‘lenient’ and murdering someone else instead.
`spat`………lol…..tell it to the mam and dad of Jean Charles de Menezes ….im sure they`l listen to you …..for a second
12 February, 2010 at 9:17 pm #432102And some people exert their right to join protests merely to cause trouble and affray without giving a damn for the protest itself, turn up merely to shout obscenities and throw objects at the police, i’d get pissed off with that and you know for a fact this fella wasnt the worse for wear and said something he shouldnt have. Yes it’s still tragic and in an ideal world wouldn’t have happened but your answer is to what, withdraw all security forces ?
Jean Charles de Menezes was just sitting there was he, these police officers were hunting suicide bombers who may have killed members of the public or even the officers themselves, the strain of that must be pretty large. They got it wrong and a man died, wrongly. But how many people have security servies saved ?
Two people dead and you want to do what ?12 February, 2010 at 9:36 pm #432103What do i want…????? You assume i want something…Now that you mention it, below is my comment……i want to be able to make my comments without people assuming this, that and the other about what i may or may not want or think….thats what i want…
Of course the security forces in this country never make mistakes do they…….and they are so impeccable
and while im at it……..i want all those hypocrites who swear to uphold the law to do just that……….including themselves….its a mockery to say that this man was shot down in cold blood because they got it wrong………..with all the resource they have at their disposal…….blatant murder of an innocent man brought about by absolute neglect of duty…. :x i can just imagine if the scenario was the opposite and this man carried out an act of terror and the security forces failed to stop him…..with this country now in a state of high alert these peddlers in terror must be grinning like cheshire cats….i wonder why
12 February, 2010 at 10:00 pm #432104No one is impeccable no one… never were never can be and murder ? It wasn’t even blatant it was murder. These people are searching for men who will blow themselves up and others with them, can you imagine the nerves in a situation like that, this isn’t cool calm James Bond ffs and he ran.
And the peddlars in terror aren’t laughing at all because the fact is the majority of plots are foiled through intelligence and the bravery of people liike the police.12 February, 2010 at 10:24 pm #432105Gazlan You appear to have strong ideas and wish to comment on what happens within our security services. Accusing them of neglect of duty.
If your feelings are so strong, why don’t you join a police force, make a difference, they take on people of all ages. Failing that join the specials. It s a very rewarding job as well as an eye opener as to what life is all about out on the streets. And what a difficult job the police have keeping law and order
A very different life than what one sees sat at a computer and believing all ones reads in the papers.12 February, 2010 at 11:00 pm #432106Oh please ffs………they held him down and shot him numerous times in the head ffs…………….if this was a real terrorist he surely would have detonated the device while chased in the underground …crowded with people…if that is the aim of these people then bingo…….
And the peddlars in terror aren’t laughing at all because the fact is the majority of plots are foiled through intelligence and the bravery of people liike the police.
What an absurd comment..being that we havent the foggiest how many of these disturbed people are in this country at any given time and the even more absurd goings on with the security…i will not comment on it….

A very different life than what one sees sat at a computer and believing all ones reads in the papers. Are you casting aspersions …….if so, i would suggest you take a grip…..They neglected their duty and were prosecuted for it….that being so…YES…i stand by my comment and the courts agreed with my comment…..like it or lump it
12 February, 2010 at 11:11 pm #432107Not got time to comment on it because you’re too busy dodging terrorist bombs eh either we cant have many and what we do have are inept so the worse than useless security forces (according to you) are just lucky or we have a lot in which case the security forces are doing a good job because i haven’t heard any bangs lately.
I’ll tell you what, you chase a terrorist suspect through the underground, lets see if your pants remain stain free12 February, 2010 at 11:16 pm #432108And you castigate against the use of a substance i have used for 30 yrs…. sometimes i wonder just who`s head is in the clouds….
12 February, 2010 at 11:40 pm #432109Whilst I wouldn’t want to interrupt the flow of the argument – might I just slip in the fact that the incidents referred to in the last few posts involved the Metropolitan Police and not MI5, the Security Service.
Perhaps a fresh thread could be started, slagging off the Police – this one is (initially) about MI5
12 February, 2010 at 11:43 pm #432110WTF are you talking about, whats substance use got to do with it or the length of time you used it. You the only one to have used it some stop before the paranoia sets in though. And it’s an illegal substance which is probably gonna end up re classified up please please please dont tell me it’s totally harmless because it isnt
According to you security forces here are inept crooked murderers who couldnt catch a cold, what are your alternatives. No bombs go off because there are no bombers ? Is that what you’re saying.
