and a child will suffer for it. even u cant be naive enough to think differently mims.
3 April, 2008 at 6:50 pm #322841Perhaps I have more faith in human nature than you do pats.

you must have led a terribly sheltered life then.
3 April, 2008 at 6:56 pm #322843It is a matter of thinking things through, and..trying to be empathetic. Trying to see things from the other person’s point of view. And… we live in a very complicated world Pats, far more so than ever before.

Perhaps not.
But, there are two parents, one of each sex. Is it any different from a family with two parents where one of the parents decides to have a sex change after the children are born? Then, the family may have 2 mothers, or 2 fathers. We live in a world where sex changes are possible. Whether you agree with it or not.
This is just one complication of the progress of medical and surgical science.
That is the whole point though. One of them is a perfectly normal woman, the other is kind of half man half woman isn,t it? (I don,t know wether to call it him or her to be honest). So it doesn,t have parents of either sex, it,s got one who is perfectly normal and another one that,s a bit of both. So is it a woman whose giving birth or a bloke? Like PATS so elequently put, your either Arthur or Martha, you can,t be both. It,s the poor child who is going to suffer and get teased to death. They havn,t given any thought to that atall.
3 April, 2008 at 6:58 pm #322845I have news for you all, this kind of thing isn’t as rare as you think. In fact, I expect that your children are all going to school with a child who has two “mummies” or two “daddies”. You just don’t know it.

compltely different subject. if it wanted to be a man…….why keep its womb.and have fertility trearment whilst on male hormone treatment. :?:
3 April, 2008 at 7:08 pm #322847Because they don’t always take out the uterus as its usually unnecessary, and the female hormone system means that they have to take testosterone for life to stay a man. The infertility treatment would be to make sure s/he ovulated I expect.
