Why? I thought babies were found under bushes.

3 April, 2008 at 6:33 pm #322829Oh understood Minim. If there is all the love in the world then the child is very lucky indeed to have such a thing which is sometimes often over looked. However… to be one of the only children in the world to come into this world through their fathers *cough*, i dread to think how their mind will work in coming years.
Children can not only be truly innocent in life – but also brutally honest, hurtful and corrupt in their relationships with other children. I cannot imagine how they will explain it to the little one as he/she grows up. To he/she it will be normal (what is normal anyway) but as reality bites… it’s going to be a different story. It isn’t “normal” or the norm to have a dad which gave birth to you. Bottom line.
3 April, 2008 at 6:35 pm #322830Well, the pre WW2 generation would have been bullied at school if their parents were divorced, or if their mother wasn’t married.
Times change.

The person carrying the child is a biological woman, who has chosen to want to live as a man. S/he is entitled to have a child if s/he wants to.
The child will have a mother and a father, and it is wanted and will be loved. On another thread there is a discussion about a family whose child went missing and is now the subject of what could very well include child sex abuse.
If I were a child, I know which family I would prefer to be born into.
HELLO, NEWSFLASH!!!! men dont give birth
if the sheman chose to live his life as a man, i fail to see why he would want to give birth, is he a tad confused or what?!!
Its all well and good having a sex change, but for gods sake choose a sex, you cant wonder about being both ffs!
3 April, 2008 at 6:36 pm #322832How can you know what is going through his mind? The biological urge to procreate is very strong.

Have you ever met anyone who has had a sex change?

If I were a child I,d prefer neither thanks. “She” is a biological woman who has decided to have a sex change to become a man. She,s taken male hormones and had a double mastectomy, but kept her reproductive organs. You can,t have it both ways. Your either one or the other. The image of this he /she creature with a beard and a pregnant stomach is nauseating. It isn,t normal. Again it,s the child who will suffer. He or she or whatever it wants to call it,s self is selfish beyond belief. Neither of them have obviously given any thought as to how the poor child will cope with all this when it,s old enough to understand it,s got a freak for a parent. YUK.

I would have thought her biological urges took a back seat the day she developed penis envy and had her ti.ts chopped off
3 April, 2008 at 6:41 pm #322836Or, perhaps the child will be seen as a miracle.. like the first test tube baby.
Perhaps not.
But, there are two parents, one of each sex. Is it any different from a family with two parents where one of the parents decides to have a sex change after the children are born? Then, the family may have 2 mothers, or 2 fathers. We live in a world where sex changes are possible. Whether you agree with it or not.
This is just one complication of the progress of medical and surgical science.

the first test tube baby was born to a couple who were unable to have children naturally. this woman decided she wanted to be a man..take a wife…..but keep her female bits. as pebbles said…be either arthur or martha……you cant be both.
