Well said Cas

Thankyou Uber, and i’m glad you see my point.
Iv’e no idea where Token gets his idea that by having the opinions that we do, me, Pats, Bat others, that we feel that the two younger ones should be denied their own childhood. They shouldn’t, but as I said, the only people denying them that, are their parents.
15 August, 2007 at 7:31 am #282160I think you will find that its called transference
Hypocricy is the new black nowadays
On places like more and more people will see the stating of any view that doesnt agree with theirs as a personal attack, but will not apply the same assumption when THEY state one that doesnt fall inline with somoene elses. They see THEIR right to state what they think, but throw a childish hissy fit if someone else DARES to have the audacity to also post their view lol
There were loads of numpties like that having sulky strops at the suggestion the parents were to blame or could even have been involved when this story first broke and were whinging that it was “nasty” to say such things about such poor poor people coz they have just lost a child lol
Well nah, soz
As far as I am concerned no amount of personal “claimed” suffering should be a get out of jail free card where accepting and facing up to personal responsibility, blame and culpability are concerned either directly or indirectly
Society if growing weak by this modern culture of victim worship, we need a reinsurgence of personal responsibility and integrity
15 August, 2007 at 10:39 am #282161Cas you are contradicting yourself and others!
i said that the children should be allowed attention and a childhood provided by their parents, yet most on here are sayng how the mother and father shouldnt be out with their kids they should be in a dark room etc etc etc
15 August, 2007 at 1:30 pm #282162Token, that might be what you would LIKE most to have aaid, but that and reality are two extremely different things
What has however been a common criticism of the pair of limelight junkies tho is the total self absorbed manner they seem to have been conducting themselves in since maddy vanished
Theyve on many numerous occasions dumped the kids on other people for press conferences and pointless jet setting around the world
They have kept the existing two kids where they are rather than taking them HOME so they could start to live a normal life again
They have (when it suited them) quite happily paraded them for the press to show what “devoted” parents they were and only now have started to shy away from that now the press is, as are many people getting sick to the back teeth of their sychophantic attention seeking endless whining and have finally started to realise they themselves could actually be complicit in their own daughters murder or abduction
I cant say I have seen a single person saying they SHOULD be permanently in a darkened room and therefore disregarding their kids welfare just as much as before but in a different way, what has been commented on tho is their seeming lack of any remorse, acceptance of personal responsibility, guilt, conscience or anything else that it would seem most decent parents WOULD be feeling if they had through their own selfishness caused the abduction of one of their kids which ISNT by any stretch of even the most idiotic imaginations the same as saying they should be constantly in a darkened room, just that many if not most people would think they would be more likely to be doing that than parading around for the press at any given opportunity like wanna be celebs which ALSO isnt in the slightest bit what could be called being “there for their kids”, its being there for the limelight at the expense of the kids they havent lost or killed YET
16 August, 2007 at 6:23 pm #282163Think you will find that it was Pats who said that she .would be in a darkened room, if she had lost her daughter and wouldnt be out in public

Yes and i said that it would be unfair on the other kids, which you cant see?
If we are all honest i think we had a feeling she would be dead, such a high publicity thing trying to find her all over europe people knew about it, as the mcann parents got in touch with everyone they could to try and raise awareness for it, she would of been found by now
its awful to think it but i think we all know.

Making it such a high profile case will have sealed her death warrant HAD she merely been kidnapped because whoever had her would have realised it was far too risky to try to keep her or release her
So if she HAD been alive the media circus the Mcanns were basking in would have guaranteed she wouldnt be found alive, whereas a low key police investigation at least had the chance of her abductors being traced through any forensics that might have been found
But you keep wittering on about the other two poor ickle mites, but heres the thing, they are in a foriegn country, away from their family and friends so how is THAT letting them get on with their life? How is THAT in their best interest?
The local police are pissed off with the Mcanns, the local people are pissed off wth the Mcanns and they are STILL there parading for cameras in a country where they WOULD be in jail for leaving their kids alone
And while they have been there they have on many occassions left the remaining two kids with other people to go off on their pointless galivanting, how is THAT “best” for the kids they havent killed yet?
I personally think the only “interests” they are concerned with is their own, not maddys, not the other two kids, just theirs
They are getting to have a MASSIVELY extended holiday, do what they THINK makes them look like doting parents even tho most of their actions, behaviour and body language screams the opposite with the added benefits of them getting to enjoy their extended 15 minutes of fame as well as not having to face the criticism of their friends, families and colleagues for causing this whole incident in the firstplace by their shoddy selfish parenting to begin with
My personal view after seeing their interviews is I reckon the pair of them are fully or near sociapathic with the entitled arrogant detachment from pretty much anyone and anything that accompanies that “condition” and I for one wouldnt bat an eyelid if they had either been arrested by the local authorities and jailed for leaving their kids as I think we should have a similar law here, and I think if the local authorities had deported them from the country it would have been far better for the two kids they havent killed YET
Obviously I can see the “appeal” to two adults of staying in a sun soaked country and holiday resort over returning to the UK and having to work, but that has nothing at all in connection with the best interests of the remaining kids whatsoever

Well said Uber =D>
Seeing as your the one who thinks that anyone who speaks out against the McCanns is wrong Token,,,,,,and that those other two children should be allowed to get on with their lives, live as normal a life as possible, maybe you’d like to pick up there on one or two points that Uber made. Because whether you like it or not,,,,,,the only people denying them that, really are their parents.
