I expect that I’m going to be out of step with the majority here ….. but hey what the heck.
I really cannot see why the parents of Rhys should want to air their grief in such a public way – i.e. going to a football club and standing in front of thousands of strangers, tears running etc etc. What on earth is the point of it??? Surely to God this sort of grieving should be done in some semblance of privacy??? In any event up until he was murdered, I’ll bet that few if any of the club knew who he was or even gave a damn. Just another football crazy kid amongst thousands.
There is a good probability that in the crowd somewhere, someone knows the identity of the murderous little thug that shot & killed Rhys – or might even be one of his parents.
Ironic huh?
Doubtless the little swine went and boasted to all his mates about how hard he was and how he shot at a rival gang member etc etc. Big tough teenage hero … for 5 minutes. But I’ll bet that loads of locals know who he is by now.
So suddenly amid all the piety, and outpourings of public grief there is aparently a ‘wall of silence’. Nobody saw anything; nobody knows anything. Meanwhile the drugs can keep on being delivered by little children on their mountain bikes and wearing their hoodies while their parent(s) turn a blind eye. Hey, they’ve got to get their drugs somewhere and anyway …. why upset a perfectly good delivery system.
Business as usual eh???

Thing that i hate is how because the mcains had a metting with the pope and are well to do ppl not a great deal is said except o my heart bleeds for them
But a down to earth coupe whos lil lad loved the sport yes as you say like thousands of kids not just down to earth kids but from any back ground male or female
What pi sses me off is that fact people can judge one familey and the other famiey just because of there back ground
Both have lost a child yet one famiey are wrong for getting in the public eye the others are saints for getting in the public eye

Nope, infact I don’t know of any kidnapper. And I emphasise the word ANY. And I doubt team McCann do either.
So basically you dont KNOW of the existance of a kidnapper who took Maddy then, so there might not be anyone else involved but her parents and you dont KNOW otherwise
So as I have been saying since the start, its JUST as much of a possibility that her parents bumped her off as it is someone else has because no possibility on either side of the fence is KNOWN, and until that IS the case all of them are equally possible which is pretty indisputeable seeing as nobody on here KNOWS any better
That’s actually the point I was making, uber. Fasty raised the issue of whether or not I know of another kidnapper, my point was that as far as I’m aware there wasn’t even a kidnapper in the first place as there’s no evidence pointing towards a kidnapping.
Calm down a bit and take some deep breaths!! We’re actually agreeing on something here.
And just as there is no evidence of a kidnapping there is also NO evidence whatsover that the Mcanns are involved in any way. Its all just rumour and speculation drummed up by the media to sell their papers and keep people like you guessing. And the saddest thing is… you all fall for it… and follow the press reports like rats following the Pied Piper. The rats werent so clever in the end though were they. They all drowned never to be seen again just like you and your kind will if this case doesnt go the way you HOPE.
30 August, 2007 at 10:58 pm #282324blimey has you never heard of innocent until proven guilty? all this mindless speculation over the parents involvement, you’re worse than the tabloids.

31 August, 2007 at 9:59 am #282326The parents of missing Madeleine McCann are to launch a libel action against a Portuguese newspaper which said police believe they killed their daughter.
The legal documents, against the Tal & Qual paper, will be sent to a court in Oporto, in the north of Portugal.
The newspaper is based in Oporto and, under Portuguese law, any action has to be brought in the closest court to that place, a family spokesman said.
The action is against articles published by Tal & Qual last Friday. A front-page story was entitled “PJ believe that the parents killed Maddie”.
A second report later in the same edition was headlined “PJ believes in the fault of the parents”.
The newspaper reported that “police believe” Kate and Gerry McCann caused Madeleine’s death, either in an accident or with a fatal dose of a drug.
A family spokesman said: “The McCanns feel these allegations are very serious and highly damaging. They also feel that it is a distraction from the investigation.
“The straightforward facts are Madeleine was taken from her bed on May 3 and she is still missing. Police have said time and again that Kate and Gerry McCann are not suspects.”
Madeleine disappeared from her bed in a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal, while her parents ate with friends at a nearby tapas restaurant on May 3.
31 August, 2007 at 10:08 am #282327I suppose that the costs of this highly expensive legal action will be paid from the £1 million fund that has been donated by the public and others.
31 August, 2007 at 10:19 am #282328im sure their good friend the pope will chip in
