I admit I am at the end of my tether and look a lot like Hermans avator at the mo…
Can anyboy please tell me how to uninstall this cretin that is McAfee?
When I go down the usual route…. control panel, add/uninstall programs it DOES NOT APPEAR ON THE LIST! The only thing resembling it is the McAfee uninstall program, but where the heck is that? Ive done searches and everything. I need to sort this tonight before my brain pops out my eyes and ears…..
So any help would be very much appreciated..
THANKYOU FROM:
A VERY STRESSED OUT LITTLE GOONER
25 March, 2007 at 9:00 pm #265886Have you tried ”START” >>> ”PROGRAMMES” and then scroll down to Macafee in the list of programmes? It ought to have its own uninstaller.

It is not appearing there either. Im at a loss as to what to do, as I said the only thing appearing in the add/ininstall list is the uninstall program itself, but I cant find that on my computer.
When you press start and the menu comes up, it does not appear in all programs as it has its own place on the right hand side of the start menu… where IE and all that other stuff is????!!!!!
Its really messing things up, and conflicting with things… this reply has been the only time ive been able to get on line since posting my plea lol!!!!!
Thankyou thou….. :(

I know I’m a bit late in the day here sharongooner, but this little utility is excellent, just uncheck everything except what you want removing just in case it fires up again at the next update.
26 March, 2007 at 9:15 am #265894Cheers Druid, that sounds cool. I do seem to have wiped it completely though, so all is well at the moment and computer is back up to speed.
