Afraid not PB. :roll: In case you werent aware of this fact I’ll let you in on it. Yes amazingly somone in our Judicial System is innocent until proven guilty, even when they’ve charged. Plenty of people that have been charged (which the McCanns havent) and tried, have been found not guilty.
I know it’s a bummer, and you and your crew of gossips read it as guilty until proven innocent, but it’s the law of the land. :wink:…except in France which has the opposite. I actually checked in case Portugal had the Code Napoleon as well …. but no such luck.
Im going to take the view (if they are charged) that the McCanns are innocent IN THE EYES OF THE LAW until proven guilty.
Frankly I think that they are as guilty as hell and I can’t wait to see all the ”celebs” who rushed to climb onto the worldwide publicity bandwaggon – fall off it onto their stupid faces.
I also notice that some of the major contributors (sadly un-named so far) who put up money for finding Maddie have now withdrawn their support and no longer want to be associated with this matter. Well at least THEY have seen the light.
Has anybody seen the reports about the other child that went missing within a 7 mile radius of Maddie?
The mum was imprisoned after apparantly being forced physically to confess to all.
The body was never found.
One of the inspectors who was involved in that case is on the Maddie case and the general feeling is he should not be anywhere near it.
I dont know if there is a link to this anywhere on the net, but it was on the Skynews mobile phone service this morning.
There are a lot of similarities between both cases, and there has never been a case in Britain of two children going missing in such a small radius in that time (according to reports).

This whole case is unnamed sources. The Portugese Police cant comment on it officially.Yes this may be so … when there are no ”official” releases of information then the Press get digging and glean any titbit they can from ”unnamed sources”. I guess that this is one of the less pleasant spin offs from the Portuguese secrecy laws.
But overall what is most interesting is how the Media have totally changed their stories. Initially and for many many weeks it was poor McCanns – abducted daughter – mass appeals for her to be found etc etc.
Look at the Media now and it is all focussed on the possibility that they did it themselves – no more poor old McCanns.
Thing is that the reporters usually know a whole lot more than they can actually publish (for fear of libel or defamation) – so they go round a subject and hint rather than state.
My feeling still is that the Media ”know” a lot more than they are prepared to publish right now and any residual doubts that I may have had have long since vanished.
I think that the pair of them have manipulated the Media and the public in general for their own ends and the revenge of the Media when it comes is going to be something to behold.
How can they manipulate the media when they hardly say a word? The people in the media only have likewise people doing the manipulation.
How did that drugged up granny from the same place as the McCanns get a not guilty over a dog in her charge ripping up her Granddaughter when all the evidence was there, yet there is not one piece of solid groundbreaking evidence against the McCanns and they are guilty?
Its all muddled! :shock: I still say the police should be looking far further afield than the parents. And at least if they are going to leak something leak something that is worthwhile and cannot be doubted.

Anyhoo, with the trustworthyness and consistency of the reporting surrounding this I wouldnt be surprised if it turns out that they either only had two kids anyway to begin with or she was actually found several weeks ago but the papers didnt want to let such a trivial fact get in the way of sales lol
