hiya folks, thought i would write a blog while i got 20 mins spare
truth is, i’ve not been online much recently, due to a lot of things, not only I now have a life, but i got a sex life too, yeah… got a girlfriend too
its all been one big expense though, £500 spent on my car for various things to make it road worthy again and safe, then another £500 for insurance for a year, followed by a £250 dentist bill
christmas is coming round the corner fast. I have yet to do anything for it, but plan is to go to the trafford centre this weekend or next and do the dreaded shopping with the girlfriend, always a bad idea, but once a year, I can handle.
I had promised i would take her away this new year but now i doubt i can afford it, not with just spending £250 on my teeth, so if anyone has any cheap ideas for getting away, or you can put us up? Pm me… in general we are pretty quiet, apart from late at night
music wise i have managed to go to the following gigs the past few weeks, I kept to my last years resolution and have probably seen a total of 12 bands this year, heres a run down of the latest ones
Black Keys – Top quailty gig, lots of guitar, lots of drums
Young Knifes – Bit annoying when you listen to the album, but gig wise, was a complete performance
Ben Kweller – From america, he was good, full of energy
The Zutons – was’nt really impressed to be honest, very plain, too many of bands like these are around already
Paul Weller – The man is a legend, great music, but some what over shadowed by his drummer on occasions who was out of this world
Snow Patrol – Hated the MEN arena as a venue, but snow patrol were faultness, very good
took my girlfriend to kweller and weller, i don’t think she was too impressed, shes more a justin timberlake fan :( grounds already for devorce i reckon, plan is to change her taste by 2008, its my new year resoultion sorted
as for work.. its been going well, new boss, new style… new routines, its better in a lot of ways, not so good in a few ways, but the postives out weight the negitives by a long way, so can’t complain, we have a new web site too but its shyte, so i won’t give the link
as for the future, i’m sticking out for a few months where i am now at work, plan is to get my own place next year and move in with the girlfriend, get a holiday booked and visit the gym again
i doubt i’ll ever stop posting on just chat, i’ll always have a spare few moments every other day to visit, i look forward to the insults to be honest, its like a drug, with no escape, i know for a fact that those who sign off will always sign back back on, you can never cure a habbit
till next time, i’m signing off

Check out any of the cheap airlines- Ryanair (for example) will fly you both in January to Barcelona for 3 days for £58 (thats the total between you NOT each and includes all airport taxes)
Just find a nice cheap hotel for about £40 a night n you’ve got 3 days in the heart of Barcelona for less that £200 in total. There’s loads of other options with the low cost carriers- I havent been abroad with a travel agent package holiday for over 4 years now- just use the low cost carriers n do it all myself
Of course, if you’re shopping at the Trafford centre for Xmas with the OH then you may need a bank loan to accomodate it all!
1 December, 2006 at 10:25 am #251832she is already aware there is a budget when shopping, going away seemed a great idea to me also till she told me she has no passport, so told her to get one sorted or we are staying in
yeah i always book online anyway, aford the local travel agents as they add too many charges on, they try and make it out they are giving you a good deal at the same time as ripping you off
1 December, 2006 at 7:18 pm #251833Bring her down to cambridge, we can all go shopping together. I’ll drive :D
1 December, 2006 at 7:47 pm #251834are you paying too?
1 December, 2006 at 7:54 pm #251835Erm, no. But i’ll take you wherever you wanna go! I’m an hr from Bluewater n lakeside. You really should come down……

That would be great, i’d love it if you could, mrs xx
2 December, 2006 at 10:59 am #251838have u managed to see feeder yet matt?
i saw them at the nec earlier in the year, and they were brill 8)
only complaint was they only played for an hour :(
2 December, 2006 at 7:32 pm #251839an hour is plenty for any gig to be honest, anything longer then you start to get a bit restless, its why albums are only in general 40 mins long, they don’t need to be any longer… you can have too much of a good thing
