    Cas

Wer’e told on the news that the red light district in Ipswich is relatively small compaed to other areas in the country. I’m pretty sure that I heard there were approx 35 prostitutes working this area……..if this is the case,,,,,,why haven’t the police done more to ‘flood’ if you like, the area, with undercover officers……..

I agree too TM that I don’t think you can compare a burglar, breaking into a house with these women….what would you do if you found a burglar in your house, putting your family at risk, I know what i’d do. The women, for whatever reason they’re doing what they do, aren’t actually hurting anyone else, except themselves.

Sharon you are right with this!

al im sying is alot of people are trying to make the prostitutes sound like innocent people!

the fact is they where breaking the law and no one made them sell their bodies, they could of easily got a job somewhere! macdonalds if iworse came to worst!

if they needed money for a drug habit then im afraid i have no sympathy for drug users

I’m glad that some of the TV news programmes are now referring to the victims as young women rather than prostitutes.

we must never ever forget that these poor souls are somebody’s sister, daughter and in some cases are mothers themselves.

I look at the pictures staring out from the TV screen and indeed my computor, and i thank god that it isnt my girls, both of them are the same ages as these girls and there but for the grace of god ………….

One thing that worries me is if the town is ‘cleaned up’ if you like and prostitutes dissapear from the streets for fear of their lives will he/she/them move on to another town. may sound like ‘scaremongering’ but not beyond the realms of possibility.

The police have quite rightly given out warnings to girls all over the town, in this season of parties and perhaps overindulging in the festivities while out that any young girls stick together with their friends and not go home alone. a very good warning to heed.

Finally for these poor girls, their lives were full of torment and sadness may they rest in peace.

Dont you think if the Death Penalty was brought back into force
This would deter people who committ such crimes from re-offending .

I bet my bottom doller that the persn ( persons ) who will eventually be caught
Has a crimanal record & has probably been inside before & cant cope with life on the outside thus bringing him to committ such a devastating crime . In all, in his or there little brains they just want to go bk inside for a life which they are a custom too .

Cath unfortunely the cleaning of streets of the Ladies of the Night has never happened as said before ‘its the old profession’.

These girls/woman are innocent even though they have been forced by their sad situtations wither they sell themselves for a fiver upwards, or what the money is for, yes there comminting a crime in solisating themselves ( that spelt right) thats their only crime, their volating themselves. So to be murdered and lordy knows what each of those woman were put through they are Innocents.

Ugo they’d never bring it back.. but im all for it..!

It is very sad when something like this happens, but I really can’t sympathise with the ”let’s create tolerance zones’ for prostitutes. This, in my opinion, is just a cop out for lack of enforcement. After all if you accept the principle for prostitution, why draw the line there?

You could set up ‘tolerance zones’ for all sorts of things that society or ‘ordinary people’ find offensive. Drug dealing, fencing stolen property, fist fights, even killings.

It is not illegal to sell sex in Britain. However, the laws that exist make it almost impossible to do so legally.

Disorderly Houses Act 1751 – this piece of legislation criminalises brothels, sex parties, etc. Off street work is much safer than street work, but escort agencies, massage parlours and saunas are criminalised by aspects of this legislation, making them areas that attract organised crime.

Vagrancy Act 1824 – makes it an offence for a “common prostitute” to “wander in a public street”.

Town Police Clause Act 1847 – one section of this act provides that, “it is an offence for any person keeping any house, shop, room or any place of public resort for the sale or consumption of refreshments of any kind, knowingly to suffer common prostitutes to assemble and continue there”.

Sexual offences Act 1956 – prohibits controlling prostitution and living off immoral earnings.

Street Offences Act 1959 – prohibits soliciting.

The Licensing Act 1964 – prohibits landlords/bar staff serving a “working prostitute”.

All these laws control and act to prohibit prostitutes from plying their trade, but none of them prohibit the actual act of indulging in paid for sex.

    Interesting conundrum huh?

    You know what worrieds me about this?;

The fact that the police took so long to start looking for them.

One of the victims was on local tv chating about the murders, then hunted and killed.

If the guy is not bovering to hide the bodys, he clearly been “killing” for sometime.

And this reason for killing all these women will be “Religion”

I don’t care how these women made there money, I do care that it could have been anyone.

Its seem so easy for any us to just vanish for no reason.

They did a thing in the Sun today, compiled by “expert Crackers”….

    There individual views were

    1. A loner
    2. A Virgin
    3. A Local known person (taxi driver/clergyman)
    4. A person with a troubled past

Well…………… and we wonder why he has not been caught yet!!

They can employ all the criminolagists they like to compile a profile but at the end of the day this is unprecedented so how can anybody possibly begin to know?

One view they all held is he is probably white as there has apparantly never been a black or asian serial killer (of this type).

I bet you Emma will disagree with you on that last statement.
