He killed, and ISIS endorsed the mass killing, for a reason.
They’re not mad, certainly not cowardly.
Despicable, indifferent to the sanctity of human life, revolting – yes.
But ISIS has long conducted its terror with one aim – to maximise the horror in the hope of provoking a reaction.
My own guess is that further horror attacks are on the way. The government has said that another attack is imminent.
And it will be conducted in as horrifying a way as they can dream up.
The only way to win against them is not to fulfil their aim, not to do what they want you to do.
The tolerance and good sense of the people of Manchester, and of Britain, will win through, by avoiding mindless hate.
This is the work of radical terrorists, NOT of Islam.
Go for the real enemy in the only way possible, though effective policing and tolerance and care for life – the way Brits do it, the way Manchester does it.
Don’t go for an enemy which exists only in the minds of right-wing extremists.
Don’t do ISIS work for them!!

Of course religion is the issue , do people think the bomber blew himself up for the fun if it? Islam quotes direct fron the quran say “slay infifels where you find them”. Thats not scaremongering but black and white print. AS for the bomber yes he was born here but his parents weren’t, his dad is an immigrant jihadi fighter giving birth to a son who has followed in his dads footsteps.

Unlike 90% of people on here, the attack actually effected me, it happened in the city I live in and I was awake most of the night trying to call my boyfriend as he wasn’t answering the phone. Fortunetly nobody I know was near to the arena at the time. But I guess insulting people is how Tolerant Liberals™ show compassion.

The most recent reports i’ve seen suggest that the police are pursuing multiple suspects, i’m not sure if there were suppose to be multiple bomb, but they failed or what happened. It would explain the controlled explosions that took place though.

I haven’t seen anything other than virtue signaling in this thread. Your hostile reaction to my disagreement confirms this.

They had a member of Counter-intelligence on BBC at lunchtime. He said that the ones you worry about are not those who chant, or those who wear burkas. They’re the ones who appear to be normal.. who don’t chant, who don’t wear clothes whihc would draw suspicion.
There were 850 British radical Muslims who went to Syria to fight for ISIS. About half of those have returned, and they have both knowledge of explosives and a willingness to kill.
That doesn’t mean the whole of Islam. Being a Muslim doesn’t mean you’re a killer, any more than being a white man means you’re a rapist. The radicals who either kill or give active support to killers, like the actual rapists, are a tiny minority. That makes them very hard to spot. If anyone want to take a machine gun to Oxford Street in London and use it, there’s precious little anyone can do about it.
I’m glad your boyfriend wasn’t hurt, and I’ve occasionally felt anxiety for loved ones too. But Islam isn’t the enemy here; it’s the radical Muslims, and they are not always easily distinguishable from the mass of Muslims, any more than rapists are easily distinguishable fomr the mass of men – until it’s too late.
The people of Manchester demonstrated what they think of right-wing extremists when the English Defence League tried to start an anti-Muslim demonstration in the city yesterday – the y ere booed off the streets.
Manchester’s reaction is the best one. Revulsion, but refusal to hunt down innocent people merely because they belong to the same religion.

Most suicide bombers are men, so they wouldn’t wear burkas

I agree, but it significantly raises the probablility of someone will become a killer if they are Muslim. I’m not sure why you used whites as an example, I think muslims are the demographic most likely to commit rape also, although I would have to check statistics on that one.

There are multiple studies that show as many as 50% of British muslims either support or have sympathies towards ISIS, I would not call that a tiny minority.

Thankyou. I will repeat something that I said on a previous topic for people who havent seen it, but I lost a close friend in the Brussels bombings a couple of years ago. So I know what the friends and family of the victims of this attack are feeling.

I’m not really sure that I would describe EDL as right wing, i’ve never seen them adocate for free markets. I think this is a case of people labeling everything they don’t like as ‘right wing’, which seems to be common on the left. Tommy Robinson however currently works for Rebel Media, who are a right wing outlet.
