Watch the mighty Celts rip into Man Who in the Champions League.
25 August, 2006 at 5:36 pm #238023That’s a TOUGH group for Celtic BM. I just hope they don’t come last cos we need the continued presence of Celtic to keep Scottish coefficients high. Man Utd reserves beat Celtic First Team 3-0 in Glasgow only last month – Celtic have NO CHANCE of getting anything from Man U. They need to try to get a draw away to Benfica and maybe snatch a win at home. I hope they manage to get through but it is a BIG ask!!!!!! Good luck!

Ok. We wont get anything from Man U to be honest. Benifica arent any great shakes though James. A pi/ss poor Rangers side got out of a similar group last year. It’ll be a race for second place.
25 August, 2006 at 6:38 pm #238026I think Benfica have improved tho BM – I fear Celtic have gone backwards. Maybe their two new signings will change things tho and Kenny Miller has to come good eventually! I will be cheering them on that’s for sure (well, in Europe anyway ;)).
25 August, 2006 at 6:40 pm #238027Nah Im being too kind to Man U  .
These British games are played like derby games.
With a full house behind us at Parkhead we could easily get something. In fact I predict we’ll get a result at home.
That game the other week was a pre-season friendly. Nothing more.25 August, 2006 at 6:42 pm #238028Tough draw for the Jambos as well. Sparta Prague.
25 August, 2006 at 6:50 pm #238029Yeah isn’t it just? And they’ve swapped the draw around so we are at home first which won’t help any. I didn’t get to see the AEK 2nd leg (they wiped the floor with us in the 1st leg) and I don’t want to get paranoid but the sendings off that Hearts have had to suffer have been a disgrace. Which other team has had a guy sent off for wearing an earring ffs and Takis never threw that ball away in the first leg – he dropped it and ran back into position. Maybe we are just naive being new boys in Europe but ffs we were hard done by. Still, live and learn, but we will do very well to progress to the group stages.
