Ok…back on the mix today and trying out Magix 2017 software. Some great sounds in here…Dub-step which i’ve never tried making before and techno amongst others. Got some great features as well…amps are good for guitars and the usual compression, reverb and chorus etc. Sound quality is awesome as well.
One great tip for making drum beats is to make the bass drum sounds and the snares then leave the bass drum where it is but pull the snares slightly off left of the bass collide so that they are slightly out of sync when they meet. This gives a great sound, more depth and punchy and some what more realistic than every thing meeting together on a dead 4/4 feel.

You see I have this person who wishes to engage in a cat fight with me. Simple, not in the mood to engage with them as would be to their disadvantage. Know you know longer perhaps music loves or would calm her down. So just pick anything perhaps does not have to be dedicated of course, but enough to get across cat fights only hurt, to say sorry later.

Ok…got one of my ambient tracks at the final stage where i need to check all the levels…compression and stereo width…then transport it to file and listen on media player tomorrow with fresh ears. If its not good enough…have to look at it again. Simple as that.
Going through a musical stage where i have loads of ideas floating round my head. Taking a day off the mixing to gather the ideas together.

Been checking the levels of a few songs today. I find i have to check a song on average about 10 different days before i’m happy. One notices some thing that isn’t quite right or can be improved each time then all of a sudden, one listens to it and knows it’s ready to use the compressor and equalizer on.
