1 god exists deal with it and if you believe in evolution then answer a simple question who wrote the code for dna

God doesn’t exist and you have no evidence to support it other than the ” where did xyz come from ” which proves nothing. Why does there always have to be a creator of something using your limited understanding of physics from a Newtonian perspective.. broaden your horizons ffs

You have no evidence to support the idea that there is no God.

Your assertion that God doesn’t exist isn’t superior to any counter-assertion.

Norfolk (RIP – he seems to have disappeared?) also used the Newtonian argument, when actually Newton’s physics are irrelevant when it comes to God’s existence.

Mind you, Norfolk also had a cruel sense of humour whihc made you laugh involuntarily except when it was about you, when you had to step back a minute in order to take it in your stride.

    Must be some coincidence

They scare me, the JWs. I never let them in, in case what they’ve got is infectious.

The onus is on an individual to prove something he claims to  exist rather than the contrary. I have no definitive proof that pixies don’t exist at the bottom of my garden either, which doesn’t make it as likely as them existing because I can’t prove it. The only arguments I hear relating to the existence of a “God ” is what created DNA which is ridiculous and not proof of anything.

Thought you would have fairies at the bottom of your garden mags pmsfl B-)

Nobody other than somere are claiming that pixies are at the bottom of your garden..

but to talk fo a Creator needing proof before being accepted is bizarre.

You can’t prove or disprove a Creator. Our level of scientific expertise is nowhere near that level, and my guess is it never will get near it. Science is part of what’s beeen created, after all, and what science has taught us about the cosmos has only deepend the mystery since the Newtonian times when atheists confidently demonstrated that there couldn’t be a God because you couldn’t see a God anywhere.

There have been many arguments for the existence of a Creator – made by Aquinas and Anselm, above all (google them for the proofs- and other arguments against – google David Hume on miracles and natural religion, and you’ll find your points on pixies (though not the actual example).

Some philospher called Kant put the two arguemnts – for and against a Creator, or God – side-by-side and found that they were both inconclusive. It’s because of the nature of human knowledge. We can’t go beyond certain natural limits, so all we can do is speculate on what lies beyond those natural limits, especially on what created those limits.

I find the idea of a force whihc created us all quite acceptable, and more likely than spontaneous combustion of some sort. But who knows? I don#t You don’t.

A Christian God is something else, of course.

    For that, faith is required.

Hi Scep,  don’t sweat the small stuff mate. x

I’m a non believer, Scepi is very  aware of this as is another very close pal on here, however we respect each others views and I did learn from scep that even if you are a believer in God it doesn’t mean you have to agree word for word with the bible, its been re-interpreted many times and is still open to interpretation,

Scep  , when I say don’t sweat the small stuff , I’m referring to Q who quoted  all his info from an online forum lol  I can supply said quote if need be lol , total attention seeking, non funny, David Brent, tries sooooo hard to sound clever, yet comes across as an anorak wearing sad little t0sser who probably irons his tea towels, no one takes him seriously he’s best ignored so he can LOL himself into oblivion B-)

I thought Q was perfectly reasonable. No insults. Unlike some. Just made his point. Shame others can’t do that.
