If you take the Bible literally (which, as a pick-and mix man, I don’t) – then you would support Hitler (Romans 13:2). You would see woman as being subordinate to men – Galatians 3:28; 1 Corinthians14:34-35, 11:3-15. Women were created for men, to prevent them getting lonely, and just as Christ is the head of man, so man is the head of woman. “For man does not originate from woman, but woman from man” (Paul obviously never worked in a maternity ward).
Read it properly mister q and you’ll see that while men and women are equal before God, they are not equal before each other.
Sorry, I pick and mix. I don’t see women that way; I think that people should have resisted Hitler.

i heard supposedly it says in the Quran, – people who dont join them or and blv them will be killed, but supposly if that is in the Quran, it is out of context as it is something related to some side, like if the uk fight with a country then someone says – the uk will kill all (whatever country) – but they dont explain why they will kill them, as that also wud be out of context.
If you read your bible correctly Sceptical Guy and in context you will find that God does not view women as lower than men (they are both equal in God’s eyes). Although, God does talk about subjection to the head ship rule a lot in the scriptures…(through his writers of course who were born along by holy spirit). Problem i find with most people who use scripture as a statement…they pick and choose what they believe God is saying. You could blame this country on Henry the Eighth. Wasn’t it Henry who wanted a divorce and had the power of a Man and so changed the whole religion of a country in the process? God is not a pick and mix artist in your local shop. That makes god undecisive and leaves it up to every individual to believe what they want. Sums it up really when Sceptical Guy says…….” I have no problem with that” it’s not what Sceptical thinks that matters in Gods opinion. As for Jesus…he never died for Sceptical Guy’s opinions…he died for his Fathers laws and order and justice and all that will be fulfilled. You will find in the bible that all earthly governments will be replaced by God’s heavenly kingdom….Sceptical Guy will only argue that point and many others who look to human rulers. If you believe in God…..do what he wants…if you believe in human rulers ..do what they say…Give Ceasors things to Ceasor and Gods things to God. Who is any one to disagree with God? You admit in a higher power then disagree with him? Surely the bears will eat you as well at some point?
Why are you quoting a mythical book written by man about “God” who may or may not exist as a template to base your facile arguments on? “God” doesn’t talk about anything, it’s a book of fairy tales written by man, so why you are using it as a source of education or any kind of gauge to truth I’ve no idea other than blind stupidity. It’s no coincidence that in general, people with more education/ intelligence subscribe to a view more allied to that of an agnostic/atheist whilst the intrinsically stupid normally scream hallelujah to a supreme deity deluded enough to think their pointless existence is watched by some ” God”.
There was a study done asking some of the most brilliant minds in their respective fields academically what their “religious ” views were with 1 being a dyed in the wool God botherer screaming to Jesus and ten being an atheist precluding the necessity for any God . It’s no surprise that out of 3000 people asked, less than 50 scored between 1 and 3, with the vast majority considering themselves a 9 or a 10. If you asked to same question to a mid west bible belt area in America with the “flock” screaming to Jesus wandering in snakes thinking they will be spared with the holy ghost floating about holding the snakes, the reverse results would occur. Sassey for eg believes her son lifts 500 pound dumbbell weights and can run a 3 minute mile which she stated in the room last week. It wouldn’t take a Sherlock Holmes investigation to uncover Sassey is one of the great minds that belongs in the God squad.. her brain doesn’t work properly like Mister Q who displays signs of early dementia finding mundane rubbish funny on every thread. Many just shake their head at the likes of Mister Q and his inappropriate laughter, but for those with brain damage, the problem lies with others rather than them being the problem. Sassey for eg types she loves everyone talking about her son lifting up the weight of a car with one hand ,running faster than any human in history could manage not thinking anything is amiss … both believe in God, jesus, the bible and the holy spirit. For those of us with better working brains, the “faith ” is less readily accepted .

God doesn’t exist and you have no evidence to support it other than the ” where did xyz come from ” which proves nothing. Why does there always have to be a creator of something using your limited understanding of physics from a Newtonian perspective.. broaden your horizons ffs

Why does there have to be reason for everything? Why does Mr Smith down the road get run over by a double decker bus or Mrs Jones get killed in a freak accident on the M6 or Mr Chan have his family killed from a typhoon in the far east? Do you honestly think that a ” God” is deciding randomly who to kill and who to spare with natural disasters/ accidents etc. Why can’t you just accept we are all a product of random chance and insignificant life forms that would get wiped out in the blinking of an eye for no discernible reason at all?
