Well this isn,t from a foreign tabloid BM. Just read some of the comments from people.
QUOTE:How sick was the child who required a change of bed sheets? Why would Dr. O’Brien return to the table at 10:15 if his child was so sick as to need a change of bed sheets? Where did the dirty sheets go to?
I’d like to shake the ‘Tapas Nine’ and kick their backsides, for the sake of their children.
Simple questions need simple answers!

Strange that within 40 minutes of the child going missing, they were more worried about the implications of the public knowing they’d left her alone.
– Blueboy, Stockport
Clarence Mitchell should be warned by the police to keep his nose out of the investigation and not go contacting witnesses as to what they are doing or not doing.
What business is it of his even if he is a spokesperson for the McCanns?
When are people going to realise the parents are suspects in the disappearance of their daughter and should not be allowed to issue their own PR statements like this.
– T W, London
Wonder if two ‘not so professional’ people would have had the same treatment, calls from the Prime Minister etc?
– Gill Spare, Leicestershire
What a selfish, uncaring couple the McCanns are begining to sound like. They stand their wringing their hands with sad faces, and all they can think of is ‘me, me and me’. My contempt for them grows daily.
– Karen, West Midlands
I hear, “Clarence Mitchell” and I automatically switch off.
– Anna, East Sussex
Can you imagine what the public uproar will be like if it transpires that the Tapas 9 or the McCanns have been hiding something? It doesn’t bear thinking about. How can anyone hold back information that could possibly lead to finding Maddie? I suppose by being selfish is the answer. Also, how will Clarence Mitchell deal with that one?
– Flicity, UK
they should all be ashamed of their selves leaving young kids on their own hope their guilt stays with them forever
– Rita make fun of, crawley sussex
Are there not rules in the UK and Portugal which prevent representatives of two official suspects trying to find out about the content of other witnesses statements? It all seems very dubious for the Clarence Mitchell, the McCanns PR rep, to be hindering a police investigation in this way.
– Schanti, Sweden
Just one thought…how is “The police were only informed after the group in question analysed the problems they could face for having left the children alone” compatible with the independent eyewitness accounts of the minutes after Kate McCann found Madeleine was missing?
– Cynic, Berks, UK
So what? Just a bunch of busybody gossip’s, only to willing to kick people when they’re down.

Or even willing to kick a pair of child neglecters (at the very least).
I wonder if they will end up being (rightly) prosecuted for neglecting their children???
16 November, 2007 at 12:29 pm #292056Why dosent this Lawyer busybody guy butt out as well.
If there’s evidence that the McCanns were neglectful then let the relevant authorities pursue it, not some whacko Lawyer.
16 November, 2007 at 4:37 pm #292057The “relevant authorities” seem to be a lot more “Whacko” than the lawyer quite frankly.
At least he seems to be putting his money where his mouth is.
It’s all very well for the McCanns highly paid spin doctor to announce in pious tones that they have done nothing wrong. Last time I looked at Children and Young Person’s Act it said:
Parents may be prosecuted for neglect if they leave a child alone “in a manner which is likely to cause unnecessary suffering or injury to health.”
So if the Leicestershire social services and the Police won’t bring a prosecution for a flagrant and openly admitted breach of the law – why shouldn’t a private citizen?????
16 November, 2007 at 4:57 pm #292058Because it’s none of his buisness.
He’s interfering in affairs that are none of his concern, and affairs best left to the people that are dealing with it. Let the Police get on with their job’s without the focus being taken away from the search for Madeleine.
This is just gonna make matters worse. The stupid old fool should have thought this through beforehand.
19 November, 2007 at 9:23 am #292059Why does Batty only post on this subject when the media circus leans towards a guilty verdict?
19 November, 2007 at 11:24 am #292060its cos some smug people are dying to say “i told you so.”
Pity, cos I dont think its ever gonna happen
19 November, 2007 at 1:38 pm #292061FFS this bloody fiasco just gets worse doesn,t it? If McCann senior was so sure there was someone watching their apartment, and they were concerned about the security to the apartment, why the fuck did they leave 3 young kids unattended in the first place? They couldn,t have been that concerned about it, they left the bloody door unlocked for the “predator” to get in!! FFS.
19 November, 2007 at 5:19 pm #292062This is just another piece of ”spin” from their highly paid Media spin doctors.
“We neva dun nuffink wrong” is the constant refrain unless confronted with anything that points out THEIR culpability … then it is dismissed out of hand as “ludicrous”.
Well as the weeks then months go by and absolutely NOTHING is heard of poor little Maddie the “story” of her being somehow abducted looks less and less likely.
As Pebbles said earlier …”its cos some smug people are dying to say “i told you so.” … well I am one of those smug people and I really can’t wait to say ”told you so” ….. won’t be to long now I reckon.
19 November, 2007 at 11:39 pm #292063The culpability factor is the balancing act in this “crime”.
That is why nobody will be swayed.
Its a shame we are all still concentrating and talking about that factor which even to the softest of people is plain to see the parents did wrong.
Murderers? No.
Would it had happened if they had acted like everybody on here would have done? No.
My main swinging point in this whole sorry state is whether I believe she is still alive. Thats what worries me and my mind changes from day to day. One day I hope she is, then the next I hope she is well out of it. I do not dwell on whether they “did it” or not. I would not be surprised either way, but I tend to think they did not carry out anymore part in this crime after they did their bit in leaving their kids unattended. But the harm was already done then, and they are living with that.
One good thing to come out of this is at least is hopefully less of these upper crust professional “parents” will think twice before taking there beloved “children” on their “adult based” holidays.
