26 August, 2008 at 8:15 am #366589I think maybe they were drifting apart anyway and realised it
26 August, 2008 at 11:18 am #366590Theye are being realistic, Sharon, at their ages there are probably many years ahead of different lovers and romances. Getting tied down too young is invariably folly.
And DOA..you’re talking out of your blowhole as usual; my nephew is about to start his third year studying medicine at Dundee University – his Uni of choice after being offered others – so terrific is its reputation. You are of course, simply courting controversy for controversy’s sake, but I didn’t want to miss an opportunity to boast about my gorgeous tall handsome clever nephew.

26 August, 2008 at 11:41 am #366592The bloke sounds a cool fella to do that for her, Even though they are ending the relationship as such are they going to keep in touch or is it a case of cutting all ties ?
26 August, 2008 at 12:34 pm #366593Thats what I mean about the internet Poli, will it be too tempting to send loving messages and make the other feel guilt and vice versa, I know they have both come to the decision together, but we are all friends on FB and MS, and I cant imagine them deleting each other, because they arent going to suddenly hate each other are they?
Its a toughy, Id love them to have given it a go, but then again I admire them being realistic.
Im glad Im not young!

26 August, 2008 at 2:39 pm #366595I can talk about this from personal experience. My bf (at time) decided to end our relationship because he was going to uni. That was 15 years ago and I have regretted it every single day. Just four years ago i saw him. He had regretted the decision too but we were both to scared to admit it at the time. We have both moved on but have to live with the what ifs.
