20 April, 2012 at 3:22 pm #493718Banoffee Pie was invented just down the road from me………the restaurant has an excellent reputation………thoroughly recommend it if you are ever in the area :D
20 April, 2012 at 3:51 pm #493719Have you been to the restaurant Tinks?
I’ve thought about it a few times as a mid-way(ish) point to meet my friend from Eastbourne but have never spoken to anyone who’s eaten there…20 April, 2012 at 4:15 pm #493720Our local specialities are wine, wine, wine, cointreau, asparagus and apples.
We are in the third biggest wine producing area of France so lots of choice with red, white, rose. sweet and sparkling available.
Cointreau is produced just down the road in Angers.
White asparagus is currently in season and there are lots of fields of it round here.
Lastly the apple orchards round here supply Asda amongst others but there is nothing more tastier than a freshly scrumped apple rather than one that has been sat in a cold room for a few years before being exported
