My age, hearing about the rise and falls of social media, I never did either. Jc first place ever tried to explore. What a wake up, wow…
But my belief is life each day brings new experiences, and with that learning besides. And ha ha, sure have had lessons here…
Xx

20 September, 2017 at 3:03 pm #1070733Which is a bit like a 90 year old telling a 40 year old they haven’t had any life experience compared to them.
20 September, 2017 at 3:14 pm #1070738Ge why u do this.?
Our opinion. I certainly am not 90, telling 40…and I am not 40 telling a younger person this in ur opinion commented.
No it is observing, living, maybe older, maybe younger who cares.Since was 15, My parents…always….said, “no matter what we try to teach u about life, Until u experience it, u will never know, or learn.” Have carried those words my entire life, still do today, I am in my 50’s. Hard to get rid of it don’t u think?
I shared it, I do with my own child 27 years old, and she too carried it when younger. Still does….and in my family will be a continued tradition.
So not to be rude in response, as think not, OK four ur ideas, OK for me any any others

20 September, 2017 at 3:20 pm #1070740I have no idea what you are typing Linda, Sorry. None of your posts make much sense to me. I have recognized you assume every single thread on this site, whatever the topic, is an opportunity for you to talk all about you and your life and your problems but my post was not addressed to you personally. Please Linda, don’t type to me about your problems, I really am not interested.

20 September, 2017 at 3:21 pm #1070742I stand by my previous comment.
I respect people who have experiences in life that i have not had or maybe will never have. I certainly dont presume to discuss life lessons with people more experienced in life than i am.
And a 90 year old has every right to say to a 40 year old ‘ive got more experience in life than you have’ they have been on this planet a lot longer so in my opinion – they have.
If my mum says Sarah youre talking nonsense (not that she ever does) i would shut up.
Maybe you have taken her under your wing GE like a daughter, i get that.
20 September, 2017 at 3:24 pm #1070744Thanks for directly responding Mizzy. I left home at a very early age and by 20 had lived a life that most 40 year olds had not. I have not taken Dixie under my wing, I base most things I type on this sort of thread on my own personal experience, or knowledge I already have.

20 September, 2017 at 3:29 pm #1070749I dont need taking under anyone’s wing, i’m a free spirit, that’s how I like it.
20 September, 2017 at 3:31 pm #1070754No offence to Dixie, I am sure she is a confident, bright, smart young woman and I do not mean to sound patronising, but I am far too long in the tooth to be given ‘life lessons’ of the kind you find in trinket shops and greeting cards, heard them all before many many many times….. one life lesson I do believe in is ‘ what goes around comes around’ and the many ways you can interpret it….
