    Breathtaking my a.rse.

Yes, fair play to the guy for getting back into the game, but there was only ever gonna be one winner.

Thats not what higgy higgins said, he said when Mark got it back to 13-14 he was ready to quit. At the end, higgy looked more dazed than a world champion, huge credit to Mark.

Mark did have a game plan of boring higgy higgins, but higgy is a snotty sod who needs to remember hes not the bees knees.

    Mark is a true sportsman.

The World Champion for the 2nd time which puts him into Legend Status in my book, and he’s still got plenty of time for a 3rd, so get it up ye Emma.

also world number 1 for the 6th year, racked up the 3rd most century breaks then anyone in snooker history, i would say he might just go down as being one of the all time greats, along with hendry, sullivan or this era

That doesn’t make him more of a true sportsman than Mark.

Mark played the game for fun, sport and everything else on this planet we humans take part in, is about having fun FIRST.

higgy higgins played as if he was numero uno, arogance.

Mark brought him crashing down from his ivory tower, to earths top layer, with a smile on his face, as if it was his last wish before the end of time.

You cannot beat someone with an attitude like that, you can only admire.

You truly do talk a load of sh/it.

Your ignorance is an example of why you support higgy higgins over the free thinking Mark Selby.

Mark lost his father to cancer eight years ago when he was only 16 and has had no contact with his mother after she left him when he was 8.

Mark is driven by the desire to win for his dad. Mark pushed himself, for his dad, because thats what his dad would do. Snooker, the love of the game, the desire to win, but to do so in the right way.

He said recently, “With my dad passing away I have learned to enjoy every day”.

You cannot beat someone that feels the way Mark does. You can win more frames, but the shinning light of success is in the mind of Mark, who’s wish is not to play just for himself, but for the one person he wishes was alive to watch him, his dad, for the love of.

    Ok, but so what?
I’ve got sympathy for him, but I aint gonna post my application to his fan club because he lost his parents.

John Higgins is a worthy Champion. No one who saw him would say he was arrogrant. No one would say he was big headed or think he’s the bee’s knee’s.
Well done to him on gaining his 2nd World Title.

hes a top bloke is john higgins, most snooker players are, think they need to be, its the sort of sport that requires a lot of dedication and maturity

John won 5 frames more, and is the champ in that respect, but in the respect of how the finals was played, Mark was by far the champion, simply because of the way he played, with a smile on his face, and the only time John smiled was when Mark got him to.

When rocky was on the floor against appolo creed, all cut up, and very tierd, the ref starts counting, rocky looks down and out, as any normal boxer would be, but the spirit and desire to get up, a will to keep going when all else seems lost, when the whole world seems against you, he gets up and stands ready for the battle to commence.

You cant beat someone who feels like that, you can only admire. Its like a soilder who gets captured by the fiercest of enemy, and they try and get information out of them, but they wont spill, they’d rather die.

a true champion is the person who wins the title, what do you want john to do.. stand up at the end and say

no wait, sorry people.. i can’t accept this trophy, i’m going to give it to mark because he is the true champion, een though he lost i feel he battled brave, and though hes not as skill full as me, i feel he deserves it more

no wait.. infact.. i’ll give it to matty… ok, hes not played this year, but hes a true champion, he got a break of 11 at his local club last week, but he was ever so brave
