i don’t think they can give them the points back now… it will be unfair on other teams. it won’t happen
the best thing for everyone would leeds to get promoted via the plays offs

This should have been sorted months ago and not left till the last few games of the season. As for being unfair on other teams, what about being unfair to Leeds? Football should be won and lost on the field not in the courtrooms. Leeds should be 2nd in the league now, not fighting for a play off place with teams of a lesser standard.
18 April, 2008 at 8:33 am #282495Leeds should have been disbanded in the seventies for serious foul play. In fact, all of Yorkshire south of Harrogate and York should have been turned into a national park and had its scum inhabitants shipped to the Americas. Hopefully, friendly Canadians would have clubbed them all to death.

The panel considering the arbitration of Leeds United have confirmed that a decision on 15-points appeal will be made by 1st May.
Speculation had been circulating that a decision could be delayed until the end of the season, although that has now been quashed.
The news of a swift decision will come as a boost to many, including the likes of Doncaster, who are mulling over legal action of their own depending on the outcome.
The hearing had been expected to last three days after beginning in London on Wednesday, although it has also now been confirmed it will run until Monday.
Leeds were deducted 15 points at the start of the season, on top of the 10 points they were docked last term, after allegedly breaking insolvency rules.
Whites supremo Ken Bates was unhappy rival clubs were given the chance to vote on Leeds’ punishment and called for an independent tribunal to rule on the Football League’s decision.
Should Leeds, who are currently sixth in League One, win all 15 points back they would jump to second in the table three points clear of Carlisle in the race for automatic promotion.
20 April, 2008 at 3:02 pm #282497Any arbitration committe with half a brain should be able to make a decision within three days if not sooner. It seems like the football league is actually wagging the tail of the dog that should be in control. The whole affair has now become a joke and a farce and this decision is nothing more than a cop out.

1 May, 2008 at 11:32 pm #282501Leeds will go up with dignity. Not like the other shallow ba*stards who need a headstart to claim any sort of achievement.
