i’m goingSorry bro.. I left early friday and didn’t return till the start of the week, so I didn’t get to see your kind offer. Good news is that I shall be returning to Leeds very soon .. certainly before the end of the season, and a beverage or twelve with your good self in the umm plush Elland Road environs of the”The Old Peacock” would be most welcome. The bad news of course is how utterly awful the not so Mighty Whites were last saturday :? .. but things can only get better huh?
Wonderful city though.. It’s been a wee while since I made the trip so twas mighty fine to be there.
Mighty fine place indeed  .6 February, 2008 at 10:23 pm #307109@Sgt Pepper wrote:

Mighty fine place indeed  .the game was one of the worse i have witnessed and that is not said lightly my first game was in 72 the famous 7-0 against southampton i was 9.
Loads of paddys where i was in the west stand i did wonder if you were one of them i was just behind the dug outs about 12 rows up
and i will accept your rain cheque6 February, 2008 at 10:57 pm #307110Yeah.. three paddy plane loads made their way apparently. Despite their lowly position , Leeds have a huge following here in Ireland, a core support from the Revie days mixed with the triumphant class of 92 and the more recent profligate days of the late nineties / early noughties.
I was in the south stand, behind the goal on the west side. We had a great (if it can be called that) view of both goals. The Tranmere lad took the first one well, but the defending was sloppy… and the least said about the training ground second the better – atrocious marking.
Anyway, as I said, things can only get better…
Can’t they? -
