anybody got one? Ive managed to program it for a perfect picture for movies, but not one that is pleasant for all channels (sports/news/music). I need to find a happy medium but am having trouble. Ive been through all the forums available, and other than paying to have someone come out to colaborate it all, Im relying on trial and error really.

    Any tips from anybody here?

well the tips Ive gathered have been through googling the name of the tv and model number, and the only specific settings were for movies.

But Daves just got that Chelsea TV on, and there’s a match starting soon and Ive got to re-adjust specifically for that setting as the actual sports setting is far too bright and leaves shadows as the contrast is far too high, but it cant be adjusted. I dont think I will be using the entertainment settings as they are over specific and unadjustable. Think I will stick to the basic settings and set them myself for sports/movies/normal.

Just takes a long time doing them all individually and when you think you’ve got it, you turn it over and its rubbish for another channel…..

Let me know how yours are getting on, today is the first day Ive actually sat down and given it a go, so we are probably at the same stage!

    Mines Sansung, whats theirs?

    cheers essy

Ive left him watching it on a rubbish setting for now, cant interfere whilst the match is on, and doing a bit more googling.

These lcd’s aint as great as they are advertised you know, people be wary before parting with money and expecting a perfect picture as soon as you take it out of the box.

From what I have found today over the net is a lot of pretty unhappy customers!

No chick, not bought anything from there in yonks and I certainly wouldnt buy a tv from there lol.

Im not running it on HD at the moment Pete, its running on SD from a sky box, and has built in freeview also, and those channels are equally hard to get a great picture.

Jeez man I wish I never started looking now, there are literally 1000’s of settings.

Your right about the shop standard, and when you get it out the box that is what it is set at, hence its far too bright/unfocused for home viewing.

I will get there though, I spend half my life sorting out either tv or computer problems it seems and I dont like to be beaten, I kinda like it in a warped way  :P

But for now Im all pixelled out so Im having a break till after the match when I can experiment a bit more. A live televised football match from China is probably not the best broadcast to be experimenting with I think.
