    Bat

Hello peeps. I need some advice please from anyone who has a daughter of school age, bout 10/11? I know this is very common, and yes it,s just the way girls are, but when it,s your child thats upset it doesn,t help much. Before the summer hols, there was my daughter and 2 of her mates. One of them decided that for whatever reason(we still don,t know) she doesn,t like my daughter any more. Fair enough she can please herself. The problem is, that the other girl still likes this girl, with me? She told my daughter in the hols that she didn,t really like her and she promised she wouldn,t play with her, but, she does, at lunchtime and break time, leaving my daughter with no one to play with.    Thing is my daughter has been having lots of time off with “tummy ache”. We,ve been to the docs, had blood tests and there is nothing wrong. If I had a word with this girls mum and let her know how much her behaviour is upsetting my daughter(by being with this girl when she said she wouldn,t) I know what would happen. World war 3 is what. This girl is sooooooooo nice, has halo round her neck. She can,t possibly do anything wrong. So I,ve tried to encourage my daughter to play with other girls, which she does do, but she feels very hurt by all this. Of course once she,s gone to school, I sit and howl, because if she,s upset it upsets me.    She cried again this morning.   I don,t want her school work to suffer because of this. I just don,t know what to do any more. Why can,t parents accept that sometimes their little darlings are little hitlers? Any advice from anyone who,s been through it would be very welcome. From a very sad Bat.

have you spoke to the teacher.
my daughter is 10 almost 11 and has had this problem too.
my question to my daughter was why cant you all play together?
my daugher was crying every morning saying she had no friends as a certain girl, who had been her friend, was turning everyone against her.
the trouble with girls is they are so bitchy and nasty to each other. have you ever listened to them in the school yard!
anyway i spoke to her teacher and thankfully she had a word with the class and things settled down.
i think the head teacher should be involved if it goes to far

    hiya Bat :D

go in and talk to the teacher about it and they will arrange for you to talk to the appointed teacher for the bullying team. They may give her a mentor which will enable her to offload and feel protected. If this doesn’t work you can talk to the education welfare officer in your local authority and they will look into it. Chances are that she will get past this anyway, girls can be right cows sometimes. Good luck x

my daughter is fine now bat
tbh my daughter is just as bad as the other girls. she can be a class A bitch.
things calmed down and she enjoys school now. if something is bothering her at school she is now very vocal and lets everyone know
its just such a shame that kids can be really mean and nasty to each other.

Sorry to hear about your daughter Bat – I am the type to cry as well if my kids are upset.

I think speaking to the teacher is the only option – they are the ones closest who can keep an eye out. If that doesn’t work – go to the head teacher and ask what their anti-bullying policies consist of. :)

you should also keep encouraging your daughter to play with new peple – and to heck with the other two little madams!
