When my daughter was 5 or 6 she suddenly had the revelation that things die (pet rabbit had just gone to bunny heaven) she walked into our room very late one night crying,

Oh sweetie whats the matter? she replied that she did not want me to die as she would miss me too much, i replied that i had no plans to go anywhere for a long time so she shouldnt worry, she then asked that when i did go could she come with me because she’d miss me too much followed by could she bring her new Minnie Mouse toy pushchair and her tiny tears doll…… with tears of laughter i told her that of course she could and tucked her back in bed……. they break your heart sometimes….. shes 20 now and i love her as much today as i did that night.

My son was always a cuddly child… every now and again he would just climb on my knee… put his pudgy hands around my neck and kiss me saying mummy i love you….. always brought tears to my eyes.
Hes 15 now and 6ft and still hugs me … just calls me shortarse :D

I know its hardly a funny one…. but walking into their rooms at night when they’re sleeping and just looking at them….. I still do it… funny how much you love em ( they drive me bonkers sometimes)

    So many things to list;-

My son (5) asking where his hamster was. Told him he had died and gone to heaven with the angels. My son crying and saying ‘but I’ll miss him.’ I told him ‘It’s OK, he misses you too but he’s happy now he’s not in pain.’ Then my son nodded saying. ‘I bet he’s having fun chasing God and the angels around Heaven.’

Bought my daughter (2) a witches outfit for Halloween. She loved it so much that now she insists on NEVER taking it off because in her words ‘It’s my Cinderella dress Mummy. I’m a pretty Cinderella.’ Can’t argue with that.

Awww bless.. my daughter had a Belle dress ( from Beauty and the Beast) she wore it until it was in shreads ( weird really cos she was such a tomboy in other ways)

When my son was 2 and a half my mother decided to give him some prunes with his custard for the first time. He peered into the bowl and said with delight ahhhhhhhhhhhh Tea Bags In It!.
