How can I change my keyboard settings?

My ” button (number 2) is coming out as @ and vice versa, maybe american settings?

Ive set all the regional settings I can find to English UK, but the keyboard stays the same.

My mind has gone completely blank, Ive tried through control panel but the option isnt there.

    To change the keyboard settings

Start – Settings – Control panel – Regional and Language Options – Click the Languages tab – Click the Details button – Click the Add button on the right – Select Input Language as English UK – Select the keyboard laypout as UK – Click OK.

Then click on the US entry shown – and click the Remove button. Click Ok then OK then close the Control Panel.

I sometimes use a keyboard with my laptop too. It’s more comfy when sitting in the living room, on the sofa.
