    Well don’t give up yet, do you have the full XP Disk we can go for an install repare, happy to talk you through it

    Nope it never came with any disks it my old works one stupid Packard Bell Ixtreme 9050
    intell pentium 4 2.2
    512 MB RAM

    I did make system restore disks last month but for some weird reason this stupid machine wont read them

    I have also tried to do sytem restore right back to june but it didnt work i think im just gonna have to get used to trillon but its naff and i want msn coz its better lol

    Either that or sort me network card out in the my old machine

    Ok lets try this reboot your PC and when it begins to startup keep taping F8 this will bring up Advanced Opti0ns Menu use the arrow keys to navigate to LAST KNOWN GOOD CONFIGURATION hit Enter your PC will reboot and see if MSN is working, if not we can try other ways :lol: i never give up if one of my PCs has a problem. but make a restor point first.

    ive sorted msn out by installing XP Pro now ive just got to sort me sound out lol ty for the help

    :lol: Yep that’s a problem, so you have loaded XP Pro have you got all the updates ? and are you using on board sound or a sound card ?

    erm i have XP pro on machine i cant get the updates if u know what i mean lol
    and its a onboard sound card aparantly

    OK i know what you mean but no updates will be a problem, the speakers you have did they come with software the drivers will need loading, if no disk what make and serial no we can get the drivers off the net.

    ive managed to download the driver from the packard bell site thanks ever so much for your help you were a star :D
