I don’t think money will be an issue tbh. Keegan is the man Ashley wanted so I think he’ll do everything he possibly can. He gave Sam a fair amount to spend even though he wasn’t his own choice.
Some are unrealistic and I agree about SWP, he’s on form so his price’ll have been raised quite a bit and anyway with players away on international duty Chelsea won’t want to sell. There’s a couple there that look realistic targets though.

I may have worded that wrong. My other half hated him. Ive spent week after week bigging him up saying he will be great, but all he saw was fu*k ups and misshaps. Being a Chelsea fan he wants perfection
But now Im the one sitting smug and reminding him for all the times he has said “why the f**k did we buy that c**t he is f**king s**t”… that THIS is why.
Then I rest my case.
Women know there place…… and that is always being right.
Men just have no patience. Not chelsea fans anyway.
18 January, 2008 at 12:32 am #304539Scott Brown would be a great signing, get him away from Celtic :D
Football fans generally have no patience, during the Gretna v Rangers game I was p***ed off that it was still 0-0 after only 10 minutes! Had a feeling that it would be one of those games and there wouldn’t be many goals and sadly I was right. Even though the Harold Shipman of Scottish football got one!

Noted. Without Drogba on the pitch you can see the freedom that SWP has anyway and that is what he has been waiting for, the chance to play his own game, bless the little midget.
18 January, 2008 at 12:43 am #304542It’s funny, but I’ve just remembered the story a few years ago about Deuchar going from Gretna to Chelsea  Anyone else remember that?

I love Gretna. Never heard that. But Im not a Chelsea fan, nor do I know anybody who plays for Gretna. I just have this mate who bets every weekend and before Gretna were in the Scottish Prem he used to put wild bets on them in a forecaster and they used to give him results! We would be sitting in the pub watching Jeff and the scores would flash up and the whole pub would be looking for the Gretna score… good times 8)
Celtic winning – bad times
18 January, 2008 at 1:03 am #304544Must’ve just been up here then. He was scoring for fun in the lower leagues (think there was actually one season where if it hadn’t been for the league he was playing in, he’d have won the golden boot) for them in their push for the SPL and folk were saying in the papers that clubs like Chelsea would be looking at him. I remember Jeff and the rest having a bit of a soft spot for Gretna with their six or seven goal victories nearly every week! And taking Hearts to penalties in the Scottish Cup Final.
He’s also a qualified doctor, hence the joke ‘The most prolific doctor since Harold Shipman’ or ‘The Harold Shipman of Scottish football’ Don’t think that was ever said on Soccer Saturday  Not funny at all but always good for a giggle.
