No Mrs Teapot they, like anyone are entitled to their privacy and do what they want in the privacy of there own home/ or place they are staying or residing at.Public figure or not it shouldn’t go with the territory at all, private is private and if i had my way i would string up the immoral journalists and indeed editors of these rags that allow this to happen at all to anyone. well known or not should be irrelevant, you think the french would have learnt better after the diana debacle  and now the bleddy irish rags are printing it, seriously journalists/ editors like that need shooting

Hmmm…. well I agree poli….private is private I think that’s what Panda said too….Its terrible that Kates pics were published….. my point was that with their background I would have thought more than most….. they would be more aware of the ingenuity of determined photographers with zoom lenses. Whether the Royals like it or not they are targets and as such need to be more streetwise….. that doesn’t mean I agree with their photos or anyone else’s being taken deceptively.. I don’t.

Grown woman has breasts? Where’s the news?

Doesn’t making a fuss about it and expressing all that outrage just just raise the premium on the pics and so make it more likely it will happen again?

If nothing had been said about them, wouldn’t they just go away?

    #507948

How can they just go away when they have been printed and circulated like that, and rather than accepting the gross invasion of privacy, shouldn’t we let the trashy editors know, it really isn’t acceptable to us to do this to anyonewithout their consent, i would be mortified if it was me, and just cos she is a royal doesn’t mean the same privacy shouldn’t apply.
The same applies to any pictures that are published of people of both celebrity status and none celebs, without permission from the person in question, they shouldn’t be published.
i believe that If anyone else took pictures of you with a long lens in this way it would be illegal, how can it not be illegal for journalists to do this? and if it is, why because its in magazines and newspapers shouldn’t it be investigated as firmly.

Maybe by making a fuss they just make things worse – I think they’d be better off laughing it off and getting on with life. After all intrusive media attention of the rich and famous is only to be expected.

well words all i can say is this.. i believe. but dont quote me, panda on another thread said its a good job some people were victims, or such laws against racial, sexual, disibility discrimination wouldn’t have happened.
I personally appreciate, no demand, my privacy, which is probably why i live where i do, and i think every single person that wants it, is entitled to it, as long as they have done nothing unlawful that is. Look at the leveson inquiry, thats journalists both legally and morally stepping over their boundaries time and again and it should be stopped.
So having your privacy invaded should be bought up and not ignored or brushed under the carpet, to ensure each and every one of us who wants it can get it. In a sense it is our freedom, why should we have that taken away by gossip colomnists.
In fairness i’m a little down on the whole gossip journalism anyway, so slightly taints my view on it.
News is good, views are good in the media, but this kind of gossip is just not needed, especially when it is at the detriment of others doing nothing but living their lives in a normal way.
