what is that supposed to mean, Trapper?

What country is an easy touch?

Anyone who’s been across the Channel can tell you how racist the French cops are…

and the UK is very tough on immigration from outside the EU..

Britain and Ireland are the only countries which have refused to sign up to the Schengen Agreement on border controls.

Ireland and the UK are an easy touch, our social welfare is higher than the rest of Europe so they come here instead of staying on main land Europe.

The French are as racist as the Irish and British police but our social welfare gives out more so of course the French (and the rest they traveled through to get here dont give two fecks once their out of their Country and in to some ones else Country)

True refugees want to flee a war torn Country – so therefore they could stay in France or Spain – so why continue to Britain or Ireland – they are not refugees but illegal immigrants – when they come in illegally who’s to tell their not rapists/murders or peados??

If they apply through the legal channels then fine until then send them all back.

Lucy, Britain takes hardly any refugees, and the fact that a few thousand are stuck in appalling conditions around Calais (their camp is known as the jungle) is an indictment of UK and French attitudes (the French excuse is that the UK are uncooperative. Some EU members are having to take 10 times that number of refugees (and Italy is in the front line, furious at the UK’s failure to help) Germany is taking 179 thousand refugees this year, and is estimated to receive a total of 400 thousand total in 2015. They are kept in civilized but restricted conditions. Britain accepted 10 thousand refugees last year (of 26 thousand applying), and is in the process of very harsh measures against their benefits.

The UK refused to join a scheme signed by most of the EU (except Hungary and Austria) to distribute refugees evenly across the EU. The result is that the UK is one of the worst countries to go to if you’re desperate to flee war.

Take more – it’s called a ‘civilisation’ and separates us from barbarism, and the UK is one of the more successful economies in the world so it can easily afford it.

thats my point Scep, there not refugees at Calais, if they were they would be safe on main land Europe, those insisting on coming further are illegal immigrants.

If Ireland and Britain stopped giving out social welfare to non residents you would see a drop in immigrants entering in to the UK and Ireland each year.

The Governments of both Countries are to blame for us tax payers being held to ransom to pay for theses scroungers instead of getting a back bone to fix our Country for our people.

When were back on our feet, then open the doors to the foreigners.

    Lucy, they’re refugees, not scroungers.

Thy’re fleeing a war zone, and mixed in are illegal economic refugees. We, the UK (not Ireland), are partly responsible for that war zone which has created such intense suffering.

If you turn them back, if you send them home, then they’re going to come back to you because their families are in danger at home. There were a serious number of them drowned at sea because of the attitudes taken, and the UK has contributed one measly ship to rescue anyone drowning.

The UK is a European disgrace. Ireland had serious reservations about signing the EU agreement to evenly distribute 40 thousand refugees (as you know Ireland has bigger economic problems than the UK), but in the end signed. The UK has refused.

Io say that there are illegals among them is no excuse to send them all home. That’s the reasonign whihc says destroy the welfare state because some people are milking it.

They are people; we all belong to the human race in the end. Imagine how you would feel in their situation, especially if you have a family.
