absolutely, Pete.
I think the overwhelming majority of people in jc feel that.
It has nothiing to do with the politics of Remain or Leave.
22 June, 2016 at 2:17 pm #995522BB and SHR have turned this RIP thread into a political and abusive thread, nobody else.
Brexiteers and Remain are almost united in revulsion at the murder of a defenceless mother and hard-working MP at the hands of a right-wing assassin. That’s only political to those whose politics are similar to those of the killer; which means precious few in this country.
On behalf of the overwhelming majority of jc people, Brexit, Remain,
on what would have been her 42nd birthday
with respect
The pub bore, speaking on behalf of the whole of JC, on his politically motivated crocodile tears thread. Sharing his angry and aggressive views on the subject. Stupid man typing to a non existent audience.
Refuses to explain why a man who has just lost his wife in a barbaric, brutal attack, has been manipulated by the Remain camp to make such a politically motived emotive interview,
22 June, 2016 at 2:26 pm #995524Next month the pub bore will be shredding crocodile tears for the terminally ill who have been found fit for work and had their benefits stopped, reduced or sanctioned by the Cameron Remain supporting government. The 90 who die every month after being found fit for work.
The thousands who have died since 2010.
The pub bore could have made a non political RIP thread, but chose not to.
22 June, 2016 at 10:00 pm #995539I wasn’t aware we were in the pub and again it’s not about explaining anything to anyone it’s about someone being murdered

Right?
Practically all the posts here by slippery scep have been to push a political agenda – to bolster the remain campaign and to smear and demonise Brexit through means of guilt by association. Yet when confronted, he tries to pass everything off as being nothing more than a benign tribute, whilst declaring how it is those who challenge his propaganda that are the bad people for apparently being the ones to politicise things. More slippery than an eel.Anyone who doubts the real agenda here only need to look at this predictable post in reply to me, you can almost feel the excitement of him thinking “Aha! Gotcha now!” as he moves in to try to seal the deal.
And just for the record: none of the posts I’ve made here would exist if I thought that this was nothing other than a genuine tribute thread. And with that, I am out. R.I.P. Jo Cox.
23 June, 2016 at 8:27 am #995566And none of them would exist if you hadn’t posted
23 November, 2016 at 11:46 pm #1010561A small but tough Labour MP campaigner for charities, and fighter for remaining in the EU, murdered by a right-wing fanatic who shot her three times, the last in the head, stabbed and kicked her while shouting Britain First. He should be sent away for a long time and his politics publicised.
The above was a simple tribute. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Thomas Mair, who has just been sentenced to life, was a man obsessed with white supremacist and Nazi thinking. In his drawers were Nazi memorabilia and white supremacist book and pamphlets like March of the Titans: A History of the White Race . He’d been collecting them since 1984.
yes, he did have mental health issues, but many, many people have such issues too. They don’t all become racists who kill defenceless mothers. There are individuals on JC who express admiration for Hitler and have frequented white supremacist meetings, and I don’t say they all have mental health issues.
As he shot and stabbed Jo Cox, Mair shouted “Britain first. this is for Britain. Britain will always come first. WWe are British independence. Make Britain independent.” He later gave his name in court as ‘Death to Traitors. Freedom for Britain’.
His victim was killed while campaigning to remain in the EU. When she was shot and stabbed, she told others to save themselves: “let him hurt me. Don’t let him hurt you”. She was thinking of others to the end.
Unless he is found mentally ill, they should throw the key away.
Nobody blames the brexiteers, who were as shocked as anyone else (well, almost all of them).
But I said at the time and I say again that an atmosphere was created in which Remainers were called traitors whihc was very dangerous, and crfeated the conditions in whihc some lone gunman like mair would act.
RIP Jo Cox. Justice won’t bring you back, and personally I can only feel sorry that your cause went down to defeat, with consequences yet unknown.

I don’t mean to be disrespectful, but I’m not sure how much of that I believe.
23 November, 2016 at 11:54 pm #1010565You’re not being disrespectful at this point, because my last post was about the killer.
The real disrespect came from others, when I posted a tribute to the victim.
The evidence for the above post I obtained from the BBC news site below. If you have reason to disbelieve the police evidence – and I mean sufficient reason – then do say.
24 November, 2016 at 12:02 am #1010567I just feel like the situation has been made way too political for any evidence that is shown to the public to be trustworthy. I really don’t view the BBC as a reliable source on domestic issues anymore.
