Im so fed up about this story now.. its lead story on the news this morning… even though two soldiers were ambushed and killed in Afghanistan…. and little April Jones seems to have been forgotten. Also remember the family killed in France? such a weird story.. it now seems the cyclist who was thought to have stumbled across the killing and was also killed may have been the main target… and guess what he was a nuclear scientist…..

I cant help thinking all these stories are more newsworthy than a dead guy who cannot be brought to justice…. Im not saying don’t investigate but truly is it really so newsworthy that it warrants being lead story day after day after day?

I agree with what you are saying but the media seems to dictate our lives.

They say what is “news,” not us.

We are just slaves to the rhythm.

    No public figure is safe.

Some people on JC met Savile! Investigate them, sack them from their jobs and stop their pensions.

The guy was a very intelligent scumbag from all accounts. But with every new sensation we are just watching a car crash. The media squeals with delight at any salacious details and any shame or ignominy that can be heaped on anyone associated with Savile. And the scandal happy public lap it up and call for more revenge.

It’s not about the victims any more. It’s not about doing the right thing.

It’s about raking over a rotting corpse and cheering as the sinking ship takes other people down.

    Who are the necrophiliacs now?

    Hello everyone.

Day in day out we read or here about the late Jimmy Savile. I did ask myself, What good will all this do bringing it up now, Jimmy Savile cannot be brought to justice, Do the victims have to chat to someone from the authorities about their horrid ordeal. ( i know it is something that people will not forget ).

I saw on the news this morning ( that someone had mentioned ) that these victims of the late Jimmy Savile maybe able to move on once they have come forward and able to discuss what happend to them but clearly will never forget.

If i had that experience, im not sure what i would do,,,i honestly dont,,,Would it help you move on??

In any event, im getting a bit fed up of hearing about it on a daily basis because it makes me think about what goes through someones mind to do that to children. teenagers etc.

I have to agree with the last few posts.

It is not now about what happened and how can we help the victims move on but more about the apportioning of blame. Savile is dead so he is easy to have a go at and more and more people are jumping on the band wagon. ITV are loving the chance to get at the BBC.

The victims of Jimmy Savile are becoming secondary to the abuse he did to them in a way to make publicity for those who stand up and try to blame others.

Are the people he abused not being abused again when they are used as the pawns of people seeking to gain a bit of self-publicity? Does standing up in Parliament de-riding the government for what happened before they were elected do anything to help the poor souls who suffered?
