31 August, 2006 at 11:40 pm #231370i kind of knew but was not sure…. hey you can never be sure on here can you lol!!!
a wee update on paul, most of you know the cancer has at the mo gone, but he needs a heap of treatment still to ensure it is kept away. he went in to hospital on monday for more chemo, but he was not well enough to have it this time so has been filled with antibiotics for now and is home for a few days, which is nice for him and his mum and sisters, and for him cos he can have his mates round to see him (great for him, great for them), so fingers crossed he is well enough next week for another round of the dreaded chemo to help beat this bugger off for good :)
31 August, 2006 at 11:43 pm #231371sounds like a fighter to me, fingers crossed, hope all goes well
1 September, 2006 at 12:06 am #231372cheers matty, i aint being funny but im sure positive vibes has something to do with well being, and it proves it with paul…. within a week of being mascot for his fave team he has a scan and its not just reduced but gone! okay, still a road ahead, but d’you know what i mean? he had the meanest type of the type of cancer (non hodg’s lymphona) cat 3 or whatever the most serious is (sory my med knowledge is bad), but according to the medical report it was at the highest and most dangerous stage this cancer can get to…. and the hardest to beat. his odds were (when diagnosed 50/50)…. quite shocking for a kid of 9 isnt it…
but, like you said, he is a fighter, and god willing he will carry on fighting
1 September, 2006 at 12:15 am #231373I only popped in to put in a good word for brave wee Gretna and the wonderful Brookes Mileson, but I read your post Sharon and if it’s of any help…I was diagnosed with a grade three carcinoma three years ago..agressive and terminal..but I’m still here and just as annoying as ever. Best wishes to Paul, I know he’s going to win through.
