I thought you had left?
21 May, 2008 at 8:02 am #336860Its a shame though, because it puts people off posting. I don’t know the full strength of
whats happened here, but reading between the lines, she/he has caused proper
aggravation for genuine posters…so YES something should be done!! and it not fair on
genuine newcomers too.So Kate/Kunt whoever you are..get a life or a job..Then maybe you wont be so obsessed
with this site. :roll:21 May, 2008 at 8:33 am #336861Hide IP address with SmartHide
Change IP address for anonymous surfing Can I change IP address? It is absolutely normal to hide IP address like concealing any other personal information from the third parties. You close your door so that nobody can come into your residence.
You hide your phone number if you want so.
You hide important credit card info because no one should see it.
Your IP address is also public accessible. If you want none can see it, you should hide IP address.

Its been going on for 5 or 6 yr that i know about the best you’re gonna get is the threads/posts being removed at some point21 May, 2008 at 9:04 am #336862Ahh the intricities of IP addresses. Wouldn’t it be easy if everyone was assigned to their own IP address. The internet could be made into some kind of world order. However it ain’t that easy. Most people in many countries have a dynamic IP which changes every time they log into their internet connection account. And to compound that further, IP banks are becoming busier and busier and you can now find yourself sharing your IP with someone else at the same time. Try moderating that. No need to mask IP’s when you ‘roam’, unless of course you have a static IP and want to hide your online identity. But static is rare in the UK. I’m afraid me little cherubs that you are stuck with dynamic IP’s and not being able to trace people unless a gross violation can be investigated by the police.
21 May, 2008 at 9:20 am #336863This is one of the very rare occasions when I find myself in full agreement with “Sword”.
Annoying though it can be, the introduction of Broadband high speed connections into the UK coupled with the enormous take-up of home internet access has rendered the provision of ‘static’ IP’s practically impossible….. due to the enormous number of connections required at any one time.
IP numbers are then re-allocated to another user when the original user disconnects themselves from the internet.
The only way that one internet connected computer can be ‘identified’ by another computer is by its unique IP address (ususally expressed as 4 ‘banks’ of numbers i.e. ***.***.***.***).
There are a substantial number of websites that now offer ways to ‘mask’ or hide these numbers should somebody wish to avail themselves of this service and this alone renders attempts to prevent ‘cloning’ virtually impossible.
Equally, setting up a one off use e-mail address for free is now so easy that most children can do it unaided.
We do moderate the site in terms of user postings where we feel this is necessary BUT we also take into account that it is an ‘adult’ site and so try to exercise this ‘censorship’ with a light hand wherever possible.
There is a substantial amount of paranoia revolving around so-called new users and accusations that they are in fact somebody else with a duplicate account.. To the best of my knowledge, most of these accusations are without any basis in fact – although it is fair to say that some are true.
My best advice is to take new users at face value and judge them on the quality and content of their posts. If they join in and contribute in some way to everybody’s general enjoyment …. then why not make them welcome and leave it at that.

21 May, 2008 at 9:56 am #336865But thats the problem…You make them welcome, and they seem fine in the begining…then
a few weeks down the line, they turn and you realise its a multiple…so thats why every
new user gets scrutinised now.21 May, 2008 at 10:01 am #336866So you get fooled it isnt the end of the world i’m sure we’ve all been fooled and will be again Suppose it depends on whether you give people trust and then it’s up to them to keep or lose that trust or whether they have to earn the trust first The people who ultimately lose out are the “cloners”
21 May, 2008 at 10:34 am #336867doh… im glad im a p.c thickie. i wouldnt know where to start being a clone.. or whatever it is. mind you in schizophrenic anyway so you never know wether your getting arthur or marther with me….. oni joking. we should have a system of outing the clones and following their threads then jumping all over them till they beggar off.
21 May, 2008 at 10:36 am #336868To be honest the best way i guess would be to totally ignore them it’s a response they want but thats easier said then done
