In spite of the Media constantly slating her for being “thick”; “stupid”; “uneducated” and so on ….. she has been bright enough to hire Max Clifford to represent her with the Media and to ensure that she stays in the full glare of publicity as long as possible.
Seems like a pretty clever thing to do eh? At least she will get loads of money out of it all so she can fulfil her ‘dream’ of having her children privately educated. apparently she has set up Trusts for them already to cover this in the event that she dies soon.

More likely Max Clifford who is top of the rat pack is making a tidy sum himself out of this . Hes already made money out of himself having been through the trama of having prostrate cancer – did anyone see him being filmed during his treatment.-NOWhat Pete says is very true Fi-Fi. Max Clifford is an expert at getting his client’s “stories” into the Media – usually the tabloids – and he earns a very tidy sum out of it as well. But to do this there has to be an ‘interest’ from the readers.
I recall seeing a documentary on him a while ago and I think he takes somwhere around 25% of the sums paid for these stories.
However, he appears to deal in the more salacious stories as these appeal to the ‘red
tops’ and attract the highest fees.
I agree with you Clifford is very good at getting peoples stories into the papers and the majority of stories are salacious but that is Clifford.
I have read one article about him over this were he has stated that if she decides to be filmed right up to her death then he will have no part in that – his wife died of cancer some 6 years ago so he has first hand at seeing someone die of this dreadful disease.19 February, 2009 at 11:50 pm #390969Interesting. I didn’t realise that Max drew the line anywhere in terms of promoting a salacious story to the tabloids etc.
She was in the main ITN News tonight – a short film of her in a ‘hospital’ bed receiving her dose of chemotherapy drugs (they said). That sure smacks of Max’s influence.
Part two of the ‘news’ item was her boyfriend / husband to be and the principal focus was on him having to wear a “tag” as he had recently been released from prison under license…… followed immediately by Max being interviewed.
If she does die – and I have to confess that it sure seems to be looking more and more likely – I wonder if anybody has given much thought to the disposition of her estate. Her “husband” will of course be legally entitled to a substantial proportion of it.
19 February, 2009 at 11:53 pm #390970What a hype about jade yet wonderful to see the impact a real person has on JC.
I kind of wonder when the word promiscuous was mentioned..do men’s penises drop off after a lot of use or is it just females with cervical cancer who get called promiscuous …..
19 February, 2009 at 11:55 pm #390971Oh and I kind of wondered about Jack as well
Hopefully he cares more about the children’s future than himself!

No Wilma, men’s penises get worn away with over use, so that by the time they reach middle age they are more like a button mushroom than something you’s stir your tea with.

20 February, 2009 at 12:12 pm #390975Well I guess that this shows that the Prison Service can act compassionately sometimes.
I agree with your comment about her leaving her children with some sort of nest egg or trust fund to secure their future education and so on.
i just hope that it is watertight because if not, a substantial proportion of her estate may well go to her “new” husband and not necessarily all go to her children.

Pb This will be the Home Office that has granted the release on orders from higher authority.

Money will make life more comfortable, but it will never make up for your mother not being there.
Methinks this thread will run for a while yet……
