It’s not exactly ‘glitterized’, but for me it has to be Band Aid’s, ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas’. It may be old now, but it brings a stark reminder each year amidst the throng of mad, happy shoppers, hectic pressie-wrapping, Black Friday, over-indulgence & Christmas telly – that there is ALWAYS someone who is spending Christmas (‘the most wonderful time of the year’) alone. Always someone who is homeless, cold, hungry or in fear. Separated from loved ones, in pain or in a War situation. So count your blessings & spare a thought for those for whom Christmas is the loneliest time of the year.

I like christmas songs but I find a few rather sad..As mentioned in a previous post there are people alone, hurt, homeless, afraid and have no Christmas spirit because of the reasons mentioned.
When I see a person on the streets sitting there with all their belongings in a bag and wrapped up in some old sleeping bag or blanket then I often think where will they go, what will they do..
We are fortunate too have food, shelter and warmth.
Seeing everyone rushing about wanting the latest gadgets and items…Filling their shopping trolley until it’s overflowing makes it seem greedy…I guess something that we have all been guilty about at some point.
My mum used too say too me, as long ad you have a roof over your head and food on the table then thats all that matters christmas time…
I know this was sort of going off the subject but it made me think.
