CNN News website…
VATICAN CITY (AP) — Italy’s most prominent Muslim commentator converted to Roman Catholicism on Saturday during the Vatican’s Easter vigil service presided over by the pope.
An Egyptian-born, non-practicing Muslim, Magdi Allam has infuriated some fellow Muslims with his criticism of extremism and support for Israel.Step in the right direction but he should have gone all the way and become an atheist.

Innit wierd how somebody can just suddenly change their religion?
Its a bit like these wierdo’s who change their footy team… you just dont do it do you!
Plus it makes religion look even cheaper than it already did.

It isn’t that weird. Generally speaking people follow their families religious beliefs. Once you are old enough to make up your own mind, you may decide you prefer another one, or.. none of them.
Religion is very expensive.
23 March, 2008 at 5:18 pm #320213I wonder if anyone’s ever tried to belong to more than one religion. I mean, you could a Muslim on Friday, a Jew on Saturday, a Christian on Sunday and and an atheist for the other four days!

You just want to hedge your bets for as many bank holidays as possible
23 March, 2008 at 7:49 pm #320216It doesn’t surorise me that a muslim in Italy renounces his own religion.
It would be far rarer for someone in Iran to do it. And live.23 March, 2008 at 10:21 pm #320217@sharongooner wrote:
