Considering the population of Gaza, the number of actual casualties is very low with a majority of them actually being Hamas activists. Seems like the Israelis are being incredibly restrained here.
Apparently, they even go as far as telephoning people telling them that a particular building is going to be bombed and at what time and suggesting that they evacuate ASAP.
When they bombed and killed a Hamas leader last week, they spoke to him first and he refused to leave. I wonder if this was an elaborate double bluff. Either way he lived and died by the sword.
I have to note that it would be far more impressive if Hamas used their smuggling routes across the Gaza / Egyptian border to bring in food and medical supplies for “their people” …. but instead they choose to use them to smuggle in explosives, weapons and rockets. I guess that this defines their real priorities and not the bleating in the Media etc.

no. neither side is right. both sides are terribly wrong. but when bebies are born, and brought up to hate everything un islamic ie. almost everything in the world. my god even reading or using a computer is banned. what chance do these kids have. the muslim extremists are raising terrorists and not children in gaza. exactly the same as the catholics and provos did in ireland. but the irish eventually came to the table, and at least they. and we are trying to bury the past. this will never be the case with muslim extremists because they are totally brainwashed by hate and hate alone. they will never ever stop. their only aim is global DOMINATION not global peace ! you note. Muslim extremists are in a minority not a majority, of course muslims have computers etc. As for the Ireland question, did violence achieve anything ? I’d say bloody right it did, the IRA didnt just decide oh dear this is wrong. We took N Ireland they wanted it back the Jews took Palestine they want it back. And for how many thousands of years did christians persecute un christian goings on
thank you for your reply. although i did clearly state in the first sentence or so. that neither side is right. and both are equally wrong. i supose for me, at least. i can see no end to this murder and hate as long as religions have any say in politics. the irish situation was as ingrained as the jewish/muslim thing. there are still many sectarian and orange enclaves across n.i i have many relatives there and here in england. i was brought up on the pros and cons of both sides as my grandparents were from either side of the park. my grandfathers family refused to ever see him again. and my grandmother was threatened with tar and feathering. a very nice sort of skin dermabrasion, only done tied to a lamp post. a similar sort of treatment that muslim women get in iran for flashing their ankles like the harlots they are. 50 lashes will make a girls bum smart. :wink: all religious biggotry is designed to keep us at odds with each other. how do you think the priests, mullahs, clerics and popes types keep their job ? they are the sargeants at arms. ive no solution to the situation. many have tried, and many have died trying to bring sides together for eternity. the only solution is for the irradication of every church mosque and temple of any kind. and that will never happen.

you are bang on the nail there. if jesus [or whoever] were to land on earth now, and see what man [and man alone] have done to his guide to life he would be ashamed and disgusted. every religion [apart from the bhuddists and seikhs in the main] are at war with each other. biggotry and hatred of other religions is rife. religion is fear and hate. the whole lot of it should be erradicated.

my knowledge of what happened was the jews had no where to go they were driven out – israel was given to the jews as a place to settle by the powers that be, they did not take it by force. These people do need a land to call home do you have any suggestions as to where they should go? should they not fight back when they are attacked? the jews have been persecuted in one way or another right through history and i guess it will continue untill they are driven into the sea.
there is more arab land for the palastinians in that region than is needed dont tell me this is about geography.
If the powers that be gave them Wales that would have been ok too ? It wasnt religion as the powers that be were “christian” countries but it was a nice fly in the in the ointment and bloody good for arms manufacturers i’d say.
….. and so we have yet another ”ceasefire”……. brokered by the very people who have been supplying Hamas with money and weapons to assist them in their mission to destroy Israel.
I read in today’s paper that a spokesman from Hamas has clearly stated that they will now do all in their power to re-arm and bring in more rockets, bombs, explosives, and so on in order to continue their “war” against the state of Israel.
It makes something of a mockery of all their PR bleatings in the world’s Media, where they list all the deaths of women and children and yet claim that only 48 “fighters” have been killed.
“We are starving” they say “and our country is destroyed” they claim ….. and yet …. and yet …. all they really want to do is to buy more weapons and start the fighting all over again.
