If Alton Towers has a Muslim day, a Gay day, an OAP day, a DCFC only day, a “wear a pink carnation day”…it doesnt bloody matter….We all belong to the same wonderful country (for all its faults, of which it has many) and to single out a particular day because it is a Muslim day, whilst ignoring every other time Alton Towers is hired out is just barmy.
I wish I’d said it like that.

And that may be the problem. A “good bloke/woman” is what we have been taught to be. By whom? Those who have an interest in influencing us to do whatever is necessary to keep them in influential, powerful positions?
Emma is making more and more sense all the time. And I resent your implication that I am ignorant just because I said I don’t read sh!t. I didn’t say I knew nothing about the BNP, just that I don’t read sh!t. I read a lot. Just not sh!t.
There was no implication, it is how I feel about myself, what you do is your own business.
As for the “good bloke/woman” thing, it’s easy for me, if I get on with them I like them.
14 July, 2006 at 10:31 pm #230471It’s a bit like women Pikey
Your first love always stays in your heart but you very rarely live your life with her and hence you end up with someone who satisfies a need but doesn’t quite ever reach the passion of the first time   or something like that
DCFC through and through since I was knee high to a grasshopper but living near Lincoln means Sincil Bank is my adopted home (being an honorary member of the “Complicated Lives Club” precludes me from going to Pride Park, except on very very rare occasions)

Cop out! 8)
I’m in too good a mood to bother myself with some argument you may want. I’ve just watched Smokey and the Bandit and I feel great.
14 July, 2006 at 10:42 pm #230474Butlins near Skegness holds a week long Christian youth festival where anyone can go BUT they are expected to behave in a Christian manner etc… and hey, thats ok too just like Muslim day at Alton towers (NOTE Muslim day NOT Muslim only Day)
If a section of society is continually demonised and singled out because they seek to do what every other section of society does, do not be suprised when they react against that- the Emma’s of this world (assuming she is not a Troll which I wouldnt give her credit for) simply demonstrate a breathtaking ignorance, whether intentional or not
